We specialize in deep to heavy-duty hoarding cases, deep-heavy-duty cleaning with or without clutter, and elderly cleaning services. We also provide move-in, move-out, spring cleaning, and standard cleaning services in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, and Long Island Nassau & Westchester County (ONLY). A travel fee will also be assessed to locations, not within walking distance of an MTA subway (this applies to some areas in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Long Island, Nassau County & Westchester County). We do not service Staten Island.

"Although we really appreciate your review and feedback, we would have acknowledged your concerns earlier since we last served you in November 2012, 11 years ago. We hold all of our clients in high regard and sympathize with any conflicts of recollection. In an effort to help put things into perspective, our records show the actual cost of your project was $4,207.50 plus tax, not $8,000. As a recap, you found the customer service quite satisfactory, except for being unable to locate some items. In total, I visited three times out of five. We started the job in July of 2012 and the last service was in November. During this job, my team and I poured our hearts and souls into it. It was also difficult to provide heavy-duty cleaning without hot water, but we did our best with a smile. Due to our three-step process, which is common in hoarding situations, you expressed gratitude but only had difficulty finding and reaching some items. Money was also an issue which was why the work pace was accelerated. In most cases, it is difficult to locate items staged in bags scheduled to be organized at the end of the job. It also didn't help that the project was dragged out over a four-month period which contributed to your being unable to locate items that were staged. Due to your cancellation, we were unable to complete the last step or finish the job due to your financial challenges. Also, as I recall, your friend in Africa was also delighted with the results after you sent him pictures. As with all my clients, we talked and communicated daily. As a business owner, I am deeply involved and dedicated to every aspect of the job. In closing, small businesses like myself and the world at large are struggling to stay afloat. Inaccurate reviews like this are extremely detrimental, especially 11 years after the event. The alleged cost is incorrect and the rating I disagree with it since I was onsite to ensure you received top-notch service. In 2012, I would have gladly addressed any service concerns you may have had. ICS"

I will leave the rest of this review because it does accurately reflect my experience. However, I assume by Apolonia's sincere response that my experience probably isn't the norm for Ideal Cleaning.
Here is my original review
I moved back into my apartment after having rented it out, so I wanted a "deep clean"
First. I have to take some responsibility for the poor result. I did a walk-though with the cleaner before he left, but I didn't double-check a lot of the places he told me he had cleaned (under the bed, baseboards behind furniture, under and behind the books on the book shelves). Turns out, he skipped almost everything that wasn't in plain sight, and I didn't realize it until after he left.
On the day of the appointment, a young guy (I'm sorry I forgot his name) showed up on-time and with supplies. We did a walk-through. This was supposed to be a "deep clean" so I told him I wanted all surfaces cleaned, including doors, blinds, the insides of cabinets and closets, and the bookshelves... I specifically mentioned that I wanted the books removed and put back for a full cleaning. He took notes and called his boss, who got back to me with a price. So, it all started well.
When I returned to my apartment 4 hours later, he told me he was done. The books and other things I had out looked as if they hadn't been moved, but I thought maybe he was really meticulous about putting things back as they had been. When I asked, he told me he had cleaned all of those places that looked untouched to me and I took him at his word. The baseboards didn't look any cleaner than they had before he came, but he said he had cleaned those, too.
When I noticed that there was still dust on one of lamps and picture frames, he said he must have missed those and then took care of it. He told me that he had cleaned inside the closets, but one of my closets still had lots plaster on the floor from a renovation. He said he must of missed that, too, and then took care of it. Basically, everything I pointed out, he immediately took care of. But after he left, I took a wet paper towel to a window sill and it was grimy. Also, I hadn't checked under the bed... it hadn't been touched. Same with baseboards, walls, doors, etc. Any place I ran a wet paper towel came up dark with dust or dirt.
So that was that. I had already signed the paper that said I was satisfied (again... my responsibility), so I just let it go. Also, I really didn't know what I could reasonably expect. I had had a $200+ cleaning before.
However, today I hired a different service (I won't name them because I'm not trying to drum up business for anyone else). Once I saw how well they cleaned, I felt I should write this review for other users of this site. Even though I signed the paper that said I was satisfied, I should have been able to trust that if the cleaner said he cleaned something, that he really did.
In fairness.. he did do some things pretty well. He did a good job cleaning the kitchen cabinets inside and out, and he did a good job scraping soap scum off the shower sill (although he used steal wool on the marble.) Those were two big jobs, and he got them done.
There are a lot of positive reviews for Ideal Cleaning on here. I'm not sure why my experience was so different, but for $225 I feel a bit taken advantage of.
