HSBC BANK & MORTGAGE

HSBC is the worst bank I have ever dealt with in my 75 years. 
The people at the branch offices are wonderful, the bank sucks.  If you have trouble it is impossible to speak to an actual human.  I am on vacation and locked out of my on line bank twice and they keep giving me automatic answering services to call.  I got a return call once and it was someone from India who wanted to rebuild my computer in order to sign on.
Their on line system is horrible.  They should hire someone who actually knows how to set up a system.  Hey HSBC call Amazon or Wal-Mart and ask for computer help.

I had an account. I moved and closed the account. The balance was zero. Got married, changed my name. Forgot about the whole thing. Apparently I was continued to be billed to my old name and address for $4 service charges every month. Since I never got the bills, I never paid them. It went to collections and ruined my credit. Everyone I called (and I made maybe 80 phone calls regarding this matter) was apologetic and removed the charges, and promised that the account was closed. I received written confirmation that the account was closed. Yet every month, I receive a bill for $4 for "service" charges. I wasted hours on the phone with some receptionist every single month. I've written letters, faxed things, screamed, to absolutely no avail. Everyone apologizes, reverses the charges and "closes" the account. Until next month. It's been over 2 years. It's a circle of hell. I would never do business of any sort with this bank again.

I think this company is okay. They are a standard place that offers average packages and charges about what other companies ask I guess. I mean I will continue using them until or unless I find another place that is better but I am still keeping my eyes open to new possibilities.
