Horizon Window Treatments

I scheduled an appointment for Fri November 21. Setting this up was easy,
They gave me a window between 1 and 3, and assured me that someone would call at 1230 to confirm and give the arrival.
Not only did the 1230 call not materialize, but they did not show up at all for the appointment. I called at 3:20 to ask what had happened, and was told "she's probably on the train". It all is pointless. They just didn't bother.

It was excellent.  I couldn't be more pleased.  They showed up when they said they would.  The installer was on time.  The quality of the product is very good.  I highly recommend them.

While they were very helpful on the phone, I made an appointment with horizon and no one showed up or even called to say there was a problem. Will have to find someone else.

They told me the blinds in my apartment had  not been purchased from them and therefore they would not do repairs.

The work turned out great. They did everything they said they  would. When we had a simple problem with one, they came out immediatly within one day to fix at no charge. They backed up their work and installation. The quality was very high.

The cost way too high and I didn’t hire them.

They did an amazing job! Everything was fantastic. I received two estimates where one was twice as much and totaled $22,000. They were able to complete the work within one day. One of the men even came out twice to make sure all of the specs were correct. We didn't get any motors. They even installed the shades so that the chains end right before the seal of the floor so that nothing is straggling. They were professional, prompt, well priced, and I love the shades! They look fantastic! I would recommend them to anyone.

Phone calls weren't returned or made when promised, deadlines were missed without explanation, a terrible experience.

They are a VERY unethical company. They have left several fliers in our lobby etc but thought I would give everyone a heads up. I had them come in and measure windows etc and give me a quote. The quote sounded outrageous for plain white roller shades so I did some checking around. No other company in the country (not joking called over 10 shade companies) makes the size that Horizon gave me IN WRITING for my windows. Someone suggested maybe the sizing was wrong if the manufacturers do not supply that stated size when horizon insisted they did. I paid for a measure independently today and it turns out that Horizon gave me 20 inches higher and wider than what my windows are. Not only are they ridiculously priced, they gave me the wrong measurements on purpose so that I would think they were the only firm that can do our windows. They purposely have misled me and I am happy to share details of another firm that is more reasonably priced and have been upfront with me from the start. I think this is sort of business practice is completely unethical!! The gentleman who measured my blinds did so with a laser and he definitely could NOT have been 20inches off. I am disgusted with them.

The quality of the product is good but they are not very responsive and follow up was difficult. We haven't received the product or had it installed yet.

Delivery was longer than estimated and it was very difficult to get a specific commitment.  When the delivery finally came, the installer had no idea of what to do.  Furthermore, the shutters were made to the wrong dimensions and had to be returned.  When we were told that it would take another two to three months to correct their error, we got our money back and went elsewhere.

Horizon was the most convenient and they had good reviews. They forgot a part but got it to me quickly and were professional throughout the whole process.

After a discussion on the phone, Tom told me that it would be better to get a new track since the connecting plastic hook holders on the runner were broken and could not be replaced. This made sense and I ordered the rod paying 50% of the price over the phone and scheduled an appointment for two weeks ahead. On the scheduled day, the man came when promised but it turned out that I had made a mistake and the curtains would not work on a single runner track. It is a two window set-up with about 3 feet of wall in between. The curtains were made up of three panels (left, right & middle).The man was very flexible and patient and discussed with me how we could solve the problem. We came up with an excellent solution and, for no extra money ( the original rod was custom cut), he will come back with another rod and install it in two weeks. Even though I have not received the product yet, I wanted to file this report because the service in terms of courteousness & professionalism was so outstanding. I fully expect to have the actual installation go well.

The representative who visited us at first was very interested in making sure we were pleased with the blinds, making sure we received them as soon as possible in our new home. Once he had told us the pros and cons of all the different types of blinds, he gave us a very fair price for them (giving us a discount with the coupon we had received in the mail). He called us once they arrived and made sure the people came over right away to install them. They did a great job for the most part, working with the limitations of my specific windows and making sure I was happy with everything. Once they were installed the representative called me to confirm that everything had gone well.

The representative who came to my home knew very little about the line -- and had no samples of many of the options. But we'd recently moved in and I was eager to get the shades up, and so I bit the bullet and selected shades, despite the limited info and the price seeming very high (approximately $250 per simple roller shade). I was told that this was a reduction from the retail price of $300+ per shade (the salesman had a very official-looking price sheet to this effect). While the shades arrived as scheduled and were installed satisfactorily, I subsequently checked the Internet and found identical shades to the ones that I purchased were available for about $85/each. Admittedly the Internet price doesn't include the measuring and installation -- but those services aren't worth $1000. Moral of the story: Don't believe these guys in terms of price. Do your homework.

Poor service and an unspectacular blind. I waited eight weeks for a product that I was told would take six! I had to make numerous calls to find the status. My couch arrived long before the shade. Additionally, once they actually scheduled the appointment and I stayed home for installation they failed to show up. I called and was told they forgot to inform me. They finally rescheduled. I was very dissatisfied with the service. After two weeks of badgering and several phone calls to the owner, I was refunded 20% of the price. Horrible service, horrible follow-up. Mediocre product.
