It is difficult to write such a scathing review such as this one, however, the the message that we were trying to convey should be taken seriously. With no skillset, no talent, no experience, and absolutely no common sense, It is difficult to understand how this bunch was able to pass the home advisor screening. It is clear that this bunch should not have been given a contractors license under any circumstances. While itâ s easy to obtain a license, HG Renovations, Corp should not have been granted a license to do this type of work. Doing any type of electrical work without being licensed is illegal. The same goes for plumbing and the proper skillset for tiling and installing kitchen cabinets. We can only surmise that they use qualified individuals to get their contractor's license and then try to do the work themselves. This brings us to the contents of the reviews that are listed here. The reviews are either fake, the work was done for family and friends of these individuals have no concept of what quality and precision look like. This job is not about nails and hammers. In part, we blame ourselves for the work that was done simply because there were signs from the beginning. Showing up with a beat up old minivan with no company name on it, along with no proper tools and junk in the back, was definitely a warning sign. So, how can this happen ??? Being in a hurry ( haste makes waste ), not vetting them properly, getting reference from previous work is done ( not just pictures from 10 ft away), and worse of all, DO NOT GIVE A LUMP SUM OF MONEY at the early stage of the project. If you do the latter, it would be hard to get rid of them and try to get your money back. Finally, you will hear all the arguments from them: â We did nnot get a chance to complete the job because you threw us outâ Always remember, you cannot complete a job that you are not capable of doing in the first place, you will only make it worse. We did not do that, it was like that when we started the job. Yes, you did, you are the only one that could have. The house is the problem, it was like that when we got here. Unfortunately HG renovations, you are the problem. The door we installed is what they (retail store) gave us. Really ????. they were given a stock number and a photograph of the exact door that needs to be installed. They installed a completely different door, which confirms everything that is been said above as well as the hundreds of photographs that we took of this misadventure.
