It was an absolute pleasure working with Maija and Roger of Gifthorse! We started our renovation project with a broad idea that we wanted to create a calm and coastal feel to our NYC brownstone, an oasis from the busyness of the city. Maija and Roger created an amazing vision board of blues and greens for us to start from. They listened to our ideas and needs and gently challenged us to be a little more adventurous with our color and texture palette. From here, they took care of every detail, dealt with all the vendors and took the stress from the whole process. Maija and Roger have created a space that absolutely met our objective and has become our own little oasis.

Working with GiftHorse on our Harlem Airbnb makeover was truly an out-of-this-world experience. I highly recommend Gifthorse. They worked on the interior design for a complete brownstone gut renovation in Harlem in 2022/23. We combined a modern clean look with the nature and features of 130 year old house. I would not have been able to think of the simple but bold ideas around furniture, color or material that create a unique but comfortable look in each room. Maija was excellent at sifting through endless possibilities to distill a few options for us to choose from, and help our thinking and visualization. Maija is very personable, hands-on and cares – it seems as much a passion as a job for her.
