They are very professional and polite. They are organized and were on time. They knew exactly what to do. They wrapped the table and chairs in blankets. They are terrific. My son said they were great on his end as well.

BEWARE! Movers significantly damaged piano. Gentlemanwithavan.com owner Paul Kennedy told me they had moved pianos down stairs and could move my upright piano down 5 flights of stairs. Paul Kennedy told me he would send 4 people for the job, only 3 showed up. The particular movers sent were not trained or qualified to move a piano. The movers wrapped the piano in blankets and saran-like wrap with numerous layers. Piano was loaded by movers in our rental truck, followed by other items.
Upon arrival at our destination, we began unwrapping the piano and discovered torn/ripped blankets covered up by other blankets and saran-like wrap. The piano had been damaged in numerous places where it must have been scraped, dragged, scooted, banged, and dropped going down 5 flights of stairs. There are multiple damages: on the front, both top sides, both bottom sides, keyboard, and back side. The damaged areas had been covered up and not disclosed to me. I took Paul Kennedy and his company Service Emporium Inc. dba Gentlemanwithavan.com to NYC Small Claims Court. Upon seeing the evidence the Court found in my favor. Paul Kennedy and his company were ordered by the Court to pay for the repair of damages done by his movers: $1,269. Owner Paul Kennedy has not paid or responded to my emails. BEWARE!!
Spent: $660 labor + $132 tip

Response from Gentleman With A Van
"We believe the damage was caused during transport, not by our crew. Either way, we normally do not move pianos, we are not piano movers, and I will not accept any more piano jobs even when the client claims "it's very small and not too heavy" as in this case."

They were very good. They were very professional and punctual. They called me in advance to let me know that they are going to arrive at the location. They were able to accommodate very nicely. I was very impressed. They were very much on time. If I need something to be moved, they would definitely be the first one that I would call.

They were extremely professional. They were very careful with my items that were being moved and very responsible. They were very good and fairly priced too. I would absolutely use them again.

They were excellent and were pretty amazing. There was no preparation being made before moving. The movers walked in and it looked like there were parties going on there for months. However, they didn?t make any fuss while they moved the stuff. They took away everything and worked around. There was an enormous leather sofa and it was on the 10th floor. It didn?t fit into the freight elevator and we didn?t know what to do. So a guy named Kevin carried it down single-handedly. He was carrying it while we were trying to figure it out. They were just over and beyond in helping us. It was a horrible situation. The sofa that Kevin carried down didn?t fit into the freight elevator of the next building either. So he provided us with the name of the company who would cut the sofa into half since it?s now on the 48th floor. Even Kevin wouldn?t have been able to carry it down. So that company took out the leather in order to cut the sofa into half and took it to the 48th floor in the elevator. We then assembled it and glued the leather to make it look like how it was before. They charged us by the hour. The price charged by them for the whole moving job was very less. I couldn?t find a single complaint about them. I would use their services in the future too.
