In the entire time she worked for me,  our verbal exchange was:   "hello," "see you in two weeks"  -- and "garbage?" I never once raised my voice or in any other way criticized her. And then one day she was gone.  It seemed to me the reason for her flight was a very brief exchange we had about the keys she had to my apartment.  One day she rang the bell and apologized for having forgotten the keys.  Several weeks later, she again rang the bell, and I said: "try to remember to bring the keys, I may not always be home."  How much of this she understood must remain a mystery, but her response certainly indicated that she had gotten the gist, since she showed me she had the keys.  She came into the apartment and cleaned with such ferocity, I thought the top of her head might blow off.  And then she went away and never came back.

When she did not arrive at her usually scheduled time two weeks later, I called the agency to ask what had happened and was told "she doesn't want to work for you anymore."   This, of course, is her choice and her decision, but it might have been nice if someone from the agency had called to tell me this and send a replacement -- one slightly less tempermental  who spoke some English would have been nice.  Another worker was offered, but I still had such nightmares about the woman who came when my first cleaning woman left that I decided to go elsewhere.   Despite this, I found European Maid to be far more flexible than other companies.  It was not necessary to pay an extra $30 or $50 to have the refrigerator cleaned.  One paid for the time and reasonable cleaning tasks, not dust, mop, wax, good-bye, even if the allotted time had not been used up.  Very much to my surprise, I miss the woman who worked for me for all those years and can only hope that as I search for someone else, I will find someone who takes a little time to do something more than just the tasks outlined on the check list  .European Maid was, for me, a mixed bag.   But the well-trained workers are superior to any I have used since.

We have used European Maids for about the last year.  After several attempts to work with the service, we are considering discontinuing the service. The owner is nice and responsive, but the cleaner is just not good enough for us. The floors are not mopped every time she visits and she places dirty dishes in the cabinet.  We are now  looking for a better service.

If you are looking for a company that is professional, punctual, and trained to clean, this is not the company for you.  If you want deep cleaning, go elsewhere and save your money.  They worked for us for a almost two months, twice a week. I really tried to be patient and work with them.  We went through three of their employees. They were supposed to show up at 12:30, then it changed to 1, then 1:30.  The last day we decided to fire them, housekeeper arrived at 3:15, this is after calling the office.  This was unacceptable.  A professional approach would have been to call to say you are running late.  After the housekeeper left, the kitchen looked like it needed to be cleaned.  She didn't even take out the garbage.  This was the last straw.  See below for the other situations that I allowed for too long.   They said they were professionally trained cleaners, well a professional does not do the following: -Leave a wet mop against a nicely painted wall, while the stain drips for hours -Leave a wet mop on the floor, while your nicely wooden floor soaks up the water -Show up with your pink thong coming out of your pants -Leave dirty wet rags in the hall closet, till you come back 4 days later -Not throw out trash -Put your purse in the guest bathroom sink and shoes while you work (there's a thing called hall closet) -Show up 2.5 hours late -Or change the hours of time you arrive This is true and accurate, I have a copy of the email I sent to the owner, when I decided to no longer use them.

had several housekeepers in a one year period. after the fourth one, they simply decided not to show up at a regularly scheduled time. no phone call. after several attempts to find out what was going on, i still got nothing.

They always do an excellent, thorough job of the entire apartment. The kitchen and bathrooms always sparkle after the cleaning. The bedrooms and living/dining room are dusted and vacuumed and the blinds are dusted on a rotating schedule. Very happy with the work.

She came and cleaned for 3 1/2 hours. She did a great job! The place was sparkling when she we done.

She is an absolutely amazing housekeeper, cleaning my house better than I clean it myself, which says a lot, because I am ridiculously picky about how my house looks. She starts in the first bedroom and makes her way around the entire apartment, cleaning things that I wouldn't have even thought to clean, but which make the apartment look sparkling. She washes my outdoor windows and then finishes up by ironing all of my husband's shirts. She's very friendly but does her work consistently and well. I love European Maids because they are affordable, they work with me, and they send me the same person week after week. I would recommend this service to anyone and everyone!

she was very responsive when i told her that it was important to communicate with me before she did different tasks she listened. even though she didn't speak english 100% we communicated effectively and i felt very much listened to and respected. i was impressed and im not easily happy with outside cleaning help! her name was Grace

The woman in charge was very accommodating. They did not typically service the area which I lived, but would gladly have a young lady come out for a short term servicing. They young lady was very high caliber. She did a very thorough job cleaning my home. She was always right on time and worked for the entire time that I hired her for. I was pleased with her service.

She cleans all the floors and vacuums them, dusts everything, cleans the mirrors in the bathroom and the wall mirror in our dinning room. She cleans the bathroom, the tub, the sink the toilet and the floor. She cleans the kitchen counter top and floors, she washes them when required. She doesn?t normally clean the windows every time but she does it every once in a while that I ask her to. The quality of her service is good. She is very punctual and professional. I?m pretty happy with their prices and their work. We have used a lot of maid services but this has been the best so far especially because I?m a little cynical about cleaning bathrooms but they have done a great job.

The price was reasonable, they were easy to work, punctual and they were able to schedule me with a very fast turn around. I would recommend them to others.

I was not happy with my first experience with this company. The house cleaner who was sent had such limited English that I could not tell her much about what I wanted done. She was willing and pleasant and tried hard, but the result was an unsatisfactory job. I decided to try again after explaining to the management what the problem had been. The second person sent was not fluent, but she was able to understand and communicate adequately and she did a super job.

They came out and did exactly what I expected. It was nothing spectacular. I would recommend them and I would use them again. I felt comfortable with them in my home.

She did not speak English very well and it was very hard to communicate to her what I wanted done. The cleaning job was OK, but when I made the appointment I told them I needed the place spotless for the open house. It was not that and I had to do some more cleaning after she left after her time was up.

It appears that the person who usually does the appointments was on vacation. The person who scheduled my cleaning for 8a.m. was entirely apologetic for getting "the days mixed up." I called when no one arrived in the morning and was then rescheduled for the afternoon. That was not without problems for me, but... Grace arrived after completing another job. She was very pleasant, very able and did an excellent and thorough job. I intend to ask for her again.

She did an excellent job. She arrived promptly and got right to work, needing little to no instruction. She cleaned for four hours, and we are looking forward to her returning every other week.

Many of their employees don't speak good English so sometimes it is hard to communicate with them. However they are reliable and punctual. After I first started using them they informed me that they let go of the maid that was doing my cleaning because of her dishonesty. I was glad to see that they were on top of their employees. The approximate cost I pay is for four hours of cleaning.

One of the three arrived right on time. The other 2 ran late, but only because of weekend subway trouble, and the company manager called to reassure me that they were on their way. All 3 women were very friendly, hard-working, and efficient. They worked steadily, each finishing one floor in 3 to 3 1/2 hours. They were a pleasure, and did a wonderful job. I would recommend them highly.

Dorothy does an excellent job. Extremely reliable--great attention to detail. It is clear that when she has extra time, she finds a special project to do, such as cleaning out the fridge or organizing and cleaning the medicine cabinets. We are very happy with the quality of her work and the price is reasonable, too.

There was some confusion on the time of arrival - I thought it was 9 and they thought it was 1 (which is the time they apparently put down). When I arranged it we went back and forth on the time a little so it is understandable there was a mixup. Next time I would confirm before hanging up (and possibly even call again to confirm). Otherwise the entire experience was terrific.

The woman they sent out did a wonderful job on all the detail cleaning work I required. There was a bit of a problem due to a language barrier, but we just called the owner, who explained what we needed and everything went perfectly. She accomplished everything we asked for and then some. They charge $22 per hour, and she was here about six hours.

We were very glad to have found an excellent housekeeping service in the area that we live. These people really know how to clean.

They did a good job and the cost was reasonable, there was nothing that blew my mind, just good solid work.
