They are consistantly late arriving to the job. This caused chaos in scheduling my day.
I had to have him come back to fix something that broke down with the sink he installed.
After that, I was pleased with the work. This company is one of the few that will take a small job.
I would recommend this company, but pin down the schedule and make him stick to it!
"Thanks for an honest review. Customer, please accept my apoligies for timing. Your job was one that I squeezed in between other bigger scheduled jobs. When I realized that, although small, your job was too challenging for my best field carpenter, I quickly stepped in to make adjustments and finish strong. Nothing installed in your kitchen was stock material. All had to be custom made in the field. This is tuff. Also challenging for me to free up my own schedule and attend full-time, on time. I take all jobs seriously no matter how small. I am glad that I was able to provide what you and Andrew needed. Again, sincere apologies for bad timing. Cheers. David"
"Appreciate the fair report. Too many satisfied customers are not posting reports and it is important to be acknowledged for all the good work we can produce. Anything else, just shout."
"Apologies for keeping you waiting. On small jobs, it is highly unprofitable for me to send someone else to survey and repair work. Your repair was something i had to attend myself and I was juggling lots at the time this took place. Again, apologies for delayed response."
David and his team were always friendly and helpful. Early on, they needed me to move the car out of the garage so they could move some equipment in. It turned out my car, which was parked headfirst in our narrow garage, had a dead battery. David and crew pushed my car out of the garage and gave it a jump, then one of them sat in it while it warmed up so I could get back to work (I work at home.) At another point, when we went out of town for a few days, David offered to feed of our cats--and did so conscientiously. (He loves cats--which was helpful because we have three!) The guys were all avid fishermen and several times even brought us fresh fish! They were also happy to help out with a variety of odd jobs that came up during the course of the work, for either no cost or a minimal amount.
Bottom line: It was a pleasure having David do this job for us, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results.
"Amazing! I never met the member. Glad I didnt. She called me from out-of-state and hired me over phone. She led me to believe this was a one day job and that I could tile immediately. That area was ready for tiling. I had to demo the old floor and did not take debris away, simply because she did not pay for demo and removal. When I met her son, he stated he did not have all the tiles in apt and that I should tile as much as possible and he'd finish the remaining spaces. He called me weeks later when he could not do it and i charged them $150 extra to return and finish the job. The "7" broken tiles were scrap pieces (remainders of cut tiles that could not be used. The rest of the apt was vacant and under renovation. I covered the paths on which i walked on to work and apt was swept and mopped for any dust that traveled. Cutting tiles took place in bathroom which was thoroughly cleaned before I left this job. Day 1: demo and field tiles laid Day 2: set cut tiles as much as possible Day 3: grout Weeks later: I was asked to return to set tiles (missing from beginning) and grouted that portion, since her son could not complete job as the member wanted. Her sone who was there throughout the job was happy with the work done and never asked me to modify or reset anything. This report and customer is absurd!!!! Not surprised. Some "one day" job!!!"
"THIS MEMBER WAS A DIFFICULT CUSTOMER, UNSTABLE AND HAD NO CLEAR IDEA OF WHAT SHE WANTED. SHE CHANGED DESIGN LAYOUT AND MATERIALS SEVERAL TIMES THROUGH THE PROCESS. SHE HAD SPENT FIVE YEARS RENOVATING HER APARTMENT BEFORE INVITING ME TO WORK. SHE DID NOT GET FAR AND WASTED LOTS OF MONEY ON MACHINERY/TOOLS SHE COULD NOT USE AND MATERIALS SHE WOULD NEVER INSTALL. THIS WAS PRIOR TO MY INVOLVEMENT WITH HER. SHE CRIED BROKE FROM THE BEGINNING. I GAVE HER REDUCED PRICING ON A HANDFUL OF TASKS (SHE CLAIMS WAS REPAIR WORK) BECAUSE I WAS SYMPATHETIC. SHE OFTEN REMINDED ME SHE WAS A SOCIAL WORKER WHO MADE LITTLE MONEY AND OFTEN HELPED THE UNDERPRIVILEGED. SHEWAS THE CON ARTIST. SHE NEVER WANTED TO PAY FOR A FULL REMODEL OR FAIR PRICES FOR SKILLED WORK. I SHOULD HAVE CANCELED THE JOB WHEN I SAW HOW UNSTABLE AND UNFAIR SHE WAS. BUT, I LIKE CHALLENGES AND WANTED TO FINISH THE JOB STRONG. I HUNG IN THERE THROUGH LOTS OF VERBAL ABUSE AND UNFAIR CRITICISM, HOPING TO SATISFY THIS VERY UNSTABLE AND UNFAIR CUSTOMER TO NO AVAIL. LOTS MORE TO THIS STORY. CALL FOR DETAILS. MY RECORD SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT I DO AND LIKE TO FINISH ALL JOBS STRONG. OFTEN, I PERFORM EXTRA (UNFORESEEN) WORK WITHOUT CHARGING ADDITIONAL. I DO THIS TO IMPROVE OVERALL QUALITY AND TO KEEP THE CUSTOMER HAPPY....BEYOND SATISFACTION. I HAVE LEARNED A GREAT DEAL ABOUT (SOME KIND OF) PEOPLE BY WORKING WITH THIS MEMBER. GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE WITH YOUR RENOVATIONS PROJECTS. I AM HAPPY THAT I NO LONGER HAVE TO DEAL WITH YOUR VERBAL ABUSE AND UNFAIR CRITICISM. YOU HAVE COST ME LOTS!!!"
