"I did not know that you were feeling that way I'm surprise hear this 2 years later My question will be why you just did not call me directly to let me know how you feeling about,you have my number right? I don't think that I was scary to not communicate with me I'm willing to refund your money and you will just pay what ever you thing I deserved one thing I know your system was not working Let me know ok I'm sure you still have my number right? Really not hard feelings."
The other A/C had a broken part and his explanation made sense (could hear both fan and compressor, but one part was not allowing coolant to flow). He quoted me a price for the repair that was $300 (incl service call) and that he could return within the hour to complete the job. And that he did. Gave receipt.
I was completely satisfied and highly recommend his service.
We definitely recommend him to all and look forward to working with him again in the future.
The unit took a few months to be custom made. It was a drop in replacement with the same dimensions and hardware/electrical as the old unit. Elias showed up on time and swapped out the old with the new and took the old away to be disposed of. He walked me through how to care and maintain the new system along with suggestions about adding a water sensor incase there ever is a leak. Best part is he credited what was paid in the original assessment to the installation work.
I'm also planning to replace the thermostat with a more modern one and he also offered to talk me through replacing the thermostat over the phone for free if I run into any issues.
There was one minor issue that I found about a week after installation. He came out the next morning and took care of it.
He took the time to answer all my questions and really makes an effort to explain the problem, solution and how to maintain your heating and cooling system. Overall very happy with his service and would use him again if the need ever arises
It's true: he's not going to work with other contractors (so just don't schedule them together -they'll just get in each other's way in NYC sized apartments anyway). He's also not a fan of the Nest -but maybe that will change. It may not be a perfect product, but we're only going to see more in the marketplace ;)
I phoned Besco for a service call.
They understood the problem & could fix it but, said that I could probably do it myself. They clearly explained the way to do it & I said I would try....had to phone back 2 more times for explanations which they gave .
With their expert advice, I fixed the problem myself.
Not only did they charge nothing for their advice, they were very polite & patient . I saved hundreds of dollars.

After speaking, he asked me to follow up with him once I was able to try all of his suggestions so we kept an ongoing conversation through the weekend via text. (Our situation is pretty unique because our water heater is blocked by the plumbing of our kitchen sink so it is almost impossible to get to without taking pipes apart). He remained patient and responsive through out and because I was not able to get it working with his suggestions, he agreed to come out on Monday.
He arrived early and prepared. After actually opening the unit , he realized that there were loose wires which someone had previously taped in place (we are new owners and just moved in three weeks prior). The heat from the unit melted the adhesive from the tape which caused the loss of hot water. He was able to put the wires back in place and used utility ties to hold it in place, explaining that this would be a longer term fix and that even though the wires were lose, he didn't see the need to replace the unit as it was fully functioning at this time. It was such a relief to hear that there wasn't a huge issue with the unit and to pay such a reasonable and fair fee after the experience I had with other service providers.
Overall, my experience working with Elias was great and I will definitely contact him again for any future needs. It is obvious that he takes pride in his work and operates with honesty and integrity.
