Very pleased with service. Owner came and picked up and returned machine. Repairs were made within a few days.

The only reason I went to this place is that it was the only place in the area I could find that would do such a job. I've been to them before. They charge way too much, and the work they do is so so. It's an old school place - they do sewing machines, vacuums, etc. One of a kind that's still around. I'll use them only if I have to.

"Sorry to see that you were dissatisfied with your experience at Crown. Since it was 3 months before you wrote this review, it took me a while to find the records. Your Sony unit was brought in on the 5th of March with a tape stuck in it. After our tech diagnosed your problem a few days later, we called you with an estimate of $125 for repairing the loading mechanism gears and cleaning the heads...which you approved. The unit was repaired and was ready for pick-up on March 13th. The unit was not picked up until April 30th which should have added storage charges after 30 days. As a courtesy, we did not charge you anything additional and your total charge came to $125 plus tax as promised. If you were unhappy with anything that transpired during your experience with Crown, it would have been appreciated if you had brought it to our attention at the time of service."

It works. It just was a lot of money for the cleaning - almost half of what I paid for the machine to begin with. However, that may just be the cost of doing business in this area. I don't have this done that often and it may be a fair price.

I was happy to be referred to Crown Machines by my hardware store. Given how I feel about our disposable culture I was grateful not to have to toss it, but instead, have a local repair shop repair the loose socket which was causing it to lose power frequently. The young man who received my radio was kind and professional. On the contrary, the elderly man whom I collected my radio from a week later said I "looked like the kind of woman who would give a bad review" when I remarked about the Angies List sign in their window. I found it bizarre and offensive. That remark moved me from giving Crown an overall outstanding 5 score to a 4 (self fulfilling prophecy...). The turnaround was quick and my radio is working great. I highly recommend Crown and their fine repair job but hope the old curmudgeon reexamines his social graces.

they had to obtain a part from another part of the city and still finished it on time. Staff are extremely courteous and call you when work is done. Trustworthy and would definitely use them again.

We brought the vacuum (a Dyson upright) to the shop, along with a table lamp that wasn't working. We paid a small deposit and were phoned within 2 days with a full description of the work needed and the cost, which was very reasonable. We collected the items within 3 days. They did everything that they said they would do, carefully and competently and we would certainly use them again, and recommend them to others. Great, honest service.

They picked up my vacuum, and then brought me a new vacuum even that I preferred and just exchanged them for me. And then offered you the second vacuum at a discount. I would recommend them, they did great work.

but couldn't fit in, and fully serviced and cleaned the machine. Picked
up and delivered the machine quickly - 3 days in the shop! Recommend

They are really good. They are gracious, prompt, reliable. They came when they said they would, they returned the appliances when they said they would and they were totally reliable. They were really good and I got them from Angie's List.

Great. I have 2 10-year-old Kenmore vacuums. One had a problem (it wasn't turning off). They quickly diagnosed it and fixed it. I brought the other one in for a cleanup: they said the first one burnt out a circuit-board component because it hadn't been cleaned in a long time and overheated. Sounded plausible.
I brought both units into the store and picked them up. They were really good about telling me when the work was complete on each one.
