Construction Designs & Solutions

I contracted with Constructions, Designs & Solutions, more specifically, Sam Woods for a basement remodeling.  Sam Woods promised to complete the project in one month, but 3-1/2 months later, the job was far from completed and no one had showed up for days to continue the work.  The experience with Sam Woods was punctuated by near impossible communication with him because he rarely was on the job site, rarely answered his phone and did not have voice mail.  Several days would go by before anyone would show up to work on the job site despite my repeated attempts to contact Sam Woods.  He did not honor the contract we signed.  On two occasions, his workers knocked on my door asking to be paid because they claimed Sam Woods had not paid them and they could not reach him by phone.   I finally sent a formal letter to Sam Woods at Constructions, Designs & Solutions demanding a refund.  He has yet to respond.  Since that time, I hired another firm to complete the project at additional cost.  The ceilings his worker installed is now pulling away at the walls and will have to be replaced again.  I have tried mediation through his referral service, ServiceMagic, and the Better Business Bureau, neither of which have received a response from him.
