CKEngineer sent an inspector (not engineer as requested) on same day requested and that inspector arrived promptly and was cordial. He did not, however, have a working camera so I took pictures. After assessing, and verbally confirming, extensive infiltration in walls and ceiling, and a buckling wall, he left and I emailed him my pictures. The engineer then sent a two paragraph report stating simply that there was some infiltration in walls but the ceiling damage was probably the result of poor quality renovation. There was no mention of buckling wall. When I called the engineer to discuss he admitted that (again verbally) the ceiling damage was caused by infiltration and that there was no way to know how the renovation had been conducted without opening and inspecting (which they did not do). He then revealed that he was the president of his coop board and suggested I was "trying to get my apartment renovated by the coop." Extremely unprofessional! And my board paid 1500 for two inaccurate paragraphs. Not recommended.
