Budget Car Rentals - Manhattan

GREAT!
I am referring specifically to the Budget Car Rental office at 142 E. 31st St, in the Red Ball Garage, in Manhattan.
I called to request a specific model of the Subaru Outback I was considering buying for a test drive, as the test drive at the dealership did not include the type of road I needed to check out.
This was the only rental car office in Manhattan of the many that I called that was able to obtain this car for me, and it was available on the very next day, a Saturday. I was given what seemed to be a brand new car, and to my great surprise, without my asking, a technician showed me the location and how to operate all the features of the car. Have never had this experience with a car rental.
Duane, who I believe was the manager, went out of his way to help me, and everyone involved was courteous and friendly.
I really didn't pay much attention to the price, as this was such a special request, but it seemed about standard.

It was okay. I actually reserved a van on line but when I went to pick it up, they were out of vans so I had to use a truck. It was the same price but the truck couldn't go through tunnels. I had to change my route and it lengthened the move. It took longer than it needed to. I don't know if the price was competitive or not; it was more than I wanted to spend. The price is somewhere between fair and and ldquo;I was disappointed.and rdquo; I would use them again but I would do more homework next time.

They are no better and no worse than the other providers at the airport. They are all the same. I don't know why they mention about a particular car in their advertisements, which they never provide. The car they provided was fine, but it wasn't what I wanted. I would use them again in the future, but I would also look out if anybody else had a better service.
