"Mr [Member Name Removed], Better Homes Cleaning Service has been in operation since 2006 and never operated or serviced a home or apartment in Staten Island, period. Let me say this again we have no customers not one in Staten Island. We service Brooklyn, Manhattan. Bronx and some parts of Queens. When a merchant first sign up with Angues List they asked for the areas serviced and those are what you would see show up on our portal. My Angies List merchant manager notified me that i had a negative review from someone who said i never got back to him. I told him i reply to all my customers request none came in from anyone in Staten Island. My manager logged in to Angies List portal and searched all my incoming request for cleaning and did not see your name or location. He said this person did not call your company. He recommended that i contact you and have it straightened out. I immediately contacted you sending a message explaining my position. I also asked that you delete your review but you never did. Yes i have gotten calls and messages from people with questions from outside our service area and yes i replied telling them we do not service your area. If Angies List sees no trace of you contacting us and i have no information showing you did then you did not. I know there are cleaning companies who try to slander other cleaning companies by writing negative reviews. The fact that you never deleted your review tells me you did it with intent. I hope you are at peace with yourself."

Gone were the days when a customer called the the company and expressed their dissatisfaction. Oh how I missed those days. In response to our 3hr minimum policy, in the beginning we did work with marketing platforms who forced us to accept 2hr and 2.5hr cleaning. It turned out to be a disaster. People would purchase 2hr when they really needed 3hr or 2.5hr when they needed more. Due to this problem we found ourselves working for longer hours just so not to get a negative review. Speaking as a professional cleaner there is no FULLY FURNISHED apartment studio or one bedroom that can be cleaned in 2hr or 2.5hr. Not if you want a thorough job. Our policy is if the job is completed earlier than the scheduled time then we will find something else to clean to fill the time. We will not leave with time unused. Once again thanks."
