A happy and cheery disposition hides a core of unbelievable incompetence. Barron missed nearly every deadline that they set and severely jeopardized both the purchase of our new home and our deposit. They were more concerned about their relationship with lenders than actually getting us the best rate or, as time progressed, living up to promises made. We missed our close date and quickly became tired of hearing hollow promises. Their "closing agent" is incredibly incompetent and does not return telephone calls. There are many mortgage brokers in New York...look elsewhere! In terms of price, the final charges were higher than the "good faith estimate"--not by much, but more than they should have been.
