I highly recommend using these guys because not only are they truly professional, but they are courteous as well. I woke up last Friday trying to move my car for alternate side parking, and the car just couldn't start. Not only they recommended an excellent and affordable tow-truck company, but they also provide affordable service. I picked up their visit card, and I intend to use their services again. Keep up the good work, Autobahn!

Car was bucking and dealer wanted to replace entire transmission. Brought the car to Autobahn and they were able to determine which parts of the transmission needed replacing for a fraction of the price quoted by the dealer. Car runs smoothly and I have a 1 year warranty if needed. Very happy

Replaced the belt as agreed but in doing so they failed to reconnect radiator properly. Two days after getting the car back the water hose separated while on the road and I was forced to have the car towed back to them. They were very nice and agreed it was their fault and fixed it overnight and gave me a free oil change. Fortunately no engine damage because I stopped immediately. But my overall impression is that they are a very careless operation.

The service went very well. When I brought it into the shop the car would shake when I would put pressure on the brakes to stop. After the work was done on he car, the brake stopping went smoothly. I would recommend this mechanic for their work was well satisfactory.

I took my Toyota in not knowing exactly what was wrong with it. It just wasn't handling as good as it use to. That in itself was scary, cause some mechanics take advantage of you if they think you don't know about cars. I was the first one there, and the owner was very nice. He promised to change the oil and check the car out for me. I got a call a few hours later from his grandson, and was told there were 3 things I needed, front brakes, 2 rotors and a sway bar. I had never heard of a sway bar before. He explained what it was and what it would do for the car on turns. He also told me I could drive the car down the road without replacing it, but suggested I would benefit from getting one. He quoted the price as well as the labor cost. I told him to replace it. He also told me I needed New tires (which I kinda New already), I felt the prices he quoted for the tires were high and I told him so, he called me back with a choice of 3 lower priced tires that he felt were good. I appreciated it, but decided to get the tires at Sears. When I picked my car up it drove like it did when I first got it and it's a "2008". He did good work but I felt his prices were a bit high. Over $300 of what I paid was for labor. I did realize when I picked the car up that he specializes on foreign cars so that could attribute to his high prices. All in all I was very satisfied with the work done on my car.

I had a very good experience with Autobahn with Stefan and his son, Matthias. I brought my 2004 A4 in for a 95K service with a few side problems. They were able to take me within 1 day of calling, and after dropping the car, called me in under an hour with an estimate. They kept to the estimate, and were straightforward about what they could fix (bad window regulator) and what they could not (slow sunroof, they didn't have the tools for it and suggested I take that to the dealer). My only negative experience was that they said they would call me back at the end of the day but I had to call them the next day. However, that's pretty minor compared to other experiences I've had with NYC area Audi dealers. They are also a Bosch Authorized Service Center, which is good for German cars.

My first experience was a 30,000 mile checkup. No problems. Efficient. Economical.
On a second visit made when an indicator light went on, an analysis was made and they found nothing wrong using their computer instrument. They reset the system and sent me on my way with no work necessary. They instructed me to return if the light went on again. It took 5-10 minutes. They did it immediately while I waited. They did not charge me. Of course, I tipped the man who helped me. Unbelievably honest.

.I was starting out on a trip in my 2004 VW Passat when the dreaded "STOP- Turn motor off! Low Oil Pressure" flashed on the dashboard screen. Had the car duly towed to this recommended repair service fearful of serious damage to the engine. A few hours later I called to be told that it was only a minor problem-- I was a quart down on oil. In great relief I came back; paid for an oil change and new filter I had agreed to; picked up the car and started off--and within a 100 yards foound myself staring at the same "STOP" warning signal again. I was furious. Hadn't the mechanic checked the oil pressure? Whether he had or not turned out not to be an issue. When I returned it was found that what was causing the danger signal was not the oil pressure (which was fine) but the sensor itself which had become detached from the oil system. A faulty diagnosis by the first mechanic and a failure to road test the car led to the mistake. There was no charge for fixing it once one of the senior mechanics-Stephan- checked and repaired

We had a really good experience with Autobahn. Felt they were extremely thorough and professional and offered an honest, thoughtful opinion. Stefan, the mechanic I spoke with, was willing to have a long conversation with me over the phone. The make of the car we were having them check was of a company that's gone out of business. Stefan made a call to a parts dealer to find out whether we would have trouble getting parts for the car, and gave me the number of another dealer for me to call. He was easy to get on the phone when I called back, and after we compared notes, Stefan recommended that even though the car was in amazingly good condition, that we not buy it. It was a pleasant experience and he won my trust.

My partner just loves the auto mechanic he has been using them for four or five years. They service foreign cars and are really honest. He said that he has never met a more reliable mechanic and is very happy with them. He had brought his previous car to him for some electrical issue and he couldn’t figure it out. He said that a lot of times the guy would fix it and wouldn’t charge him.

I’ve tried a number of different auto repair places and I just didn’t care for the way they handle things. I discovered Autobahn and he did the same job as the other places but he charged about half and didn’t try to charge me for things that didn’t need to be done. I’ve been satisfied with the work he’s done and I think he’s more honest than service centers that I’ve used in the past. The price is usually in the ballpark of what I think it should be but it is never lower.

They didn't call with an estimate but went ahead and replaced part and fixed problems I went in for. It was done within 2 days. Not the friendliest, but Job was done...very old school I Thought the Labor seemed expensive but I don't know... The labor was a little less than half the parts.

Willy at Autobahn is wonderful - a complete rarity in NYC. Completely trustworthy and provides excellent service. I have been going to him for the last 7 years with my Audi and wouldn't go anywhere else. I can't recommend him highly enough. Best part of the service - if you park in a garage his team will return your car to the garage when finished.

It was great work and very reasonably priced. The work was extremely competent, they were very reliable and nice to deal with. The place was spotless, it's not to often you find a spotless garage. It would have cost me 3 times as much if I took it to the dealer.

He is very conveniently located. He is very honest and has saved me money. He specializes in European cars. He is very knowledgeable about foreign cars. My local dealer is high priced and missed some very obvious repairs and Willy found them right away.
