They were very concerned about the well being of Eli. They really did take great care of Eli.

The cat I adopted from them had a duo personality. She was both gentle and violent. They advised behavioral modification, which we tried but it failed. When she finally bit my grandson's leg, I told them that their advice hadn't helped and that they had to find her a new home with someone else. I recommend them highly, the service is wonderful. They are professional. The animals we have taken there over the years for healthcare have been treated very well. They were quite understanding because this animal had been boarding there for a while. They are a bit pricey but that is okay.

Animal General should be avoided. They seem to be motivated by profit rather than providing excellent care for pets. They wanted to perform orthopedic surgery on my dog who was, at the time, less than a year old. Every other vet I have consulted on this said it was a horrible idea. Many are shocked that it would even be recommended. The last time we used Animal General, our dog had a very adverse reaction to vaccinations. We called the emergency number and was transferred to a veterinarian who was clearly out at a bar our restaurant. The call dropped and then the agency refused to reconnect us.

The front desk staff are generally well organized and efficient but they don't really seem to care about customers or patients. On my last visit, they spent 10 minutes gossiping about another customer (who, apparently, had experienced a and quot;mini-meltdownand quot;) while I was waiting to pay.

There are far better vets on the Upper West Side that will actually take care of your dog and value your opinion.

The veterinarian only cares about money. She couldn't care less if your animal even survives. She can barely get you your records after he charges you $300. My dog was up all night vomiting. They told me to come in at eight o'clock. Even though they had an eight o'clock opening they charged me for an emergency appointment. I didn't care at that point. When I got there the veterinarian didn't even want to talk to me. She wanted to examine and treat my dog without even speaking to me. I found that unbelievable. She wouldn't even let me in the room. My entire conversation regarding my dog was done with her secretary over the phone. I was shocked how she said that she didn't need me to be there. She said I could wait while she figured it out. My dog was returned to me after she explained how she treated him. She gave me a prescription as well as a bill and sent me on my way. They told me to call if my dog still couldn't hold down. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I called and told them that he wasn't getting any better. They told me all they could do is hospitalize him and they would need a $900 down payment so I should bring a credit card. I took my dog somewhere else and he was immediately better with the correct treatments. Animal General's treatment was so nasty. I can't believe the vet wouldn't speak to me, it was beyond my comprehension. I felt like their price was absolutely ridiculous especially for the amount of time they spent with my dog. However, their puncuality was good. They were right on time. Their staff was also courteous but they really didn't give a darn.

Animal General is a place where I feel valued. I also feel like my dog is very well cared for when there. The doctors are good. The staff is nice and the prices are fair. That is enough to keep me bringing them business.

This is a very good vet. I mean the whole facility is very, very nice. They are just great. I even took my cat there for an emergency one time and they saw us immediately. I really enjoy their services.

THEY WERE VERY CARING. THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE WHEN I CALLED TO CHECK ON MY DOG. THEY ARE A VERY CLEAN KENNEL. THEY WERE ALSO VERY RESPONSIBLE. I THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE, TOO.

THEY WERE REALLY POLITE. IT DID NOT TAKE LONG TO WAIT FOR OUR APPOINTMENT. THEY WERE VERY INFORMATIVE ON WHAT I SHOULD FEED THEM. THE STAFF WAS REALLY NICE, TOO.

I FEEL THAT THE STAFF AT ANIMAL GENERAL WERE KIND WHEN WE HAD TO HAVE OUR DOG PUT TO SLEEP RECENTLY. I LIKE THE FACT THAT THERE IS MORE THAN ONE VETERINARIAN FROM WHICH TO CHOOSE FOR PET CARE.

THEY GIVE EXCELLENT CARE TO OUR 4 CATS. THEY ARE VERY CARING AND GENTLE WITH ANIMALS. THEY ARE FRIENDLY WITH ME AND DON'T HESITATE TO EXPLAIN ANYTHING IF I ASK ANY QUESTIONS. I DO NOT COMPARE PRICE AS I AM HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE WE RECEIVE THERE.

I WOULD VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE DOCTOR. THE FACILITY IS VERY CLEAN AND THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY. THEY ARE ALL VERY COMFORTING. THEY GOT ME IN ON SHORT NOTICE AND I REALLY APPRECIATED THAT.

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THIS VET CLINIC FOR MANY YEARS. I AM COMFORTABLE TAKING MY CAT THERE. THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK CAN BE GRUMPY, BUT THE DOCTORS ARE FRIENDLY AND GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO AND THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING.

THEY ARE JUST VERY CARING PEOPLE. EVEN THOUGH I CONSIDER THEM EXPENSIVE I WILL CONTINUE TO GO BACK TO THEM. THEY INDIVIDUALIZE ME. THE PEOPLE ARE GREAT, HELPFUL, AND NICE.

IT IS FAIRLY GOOD AND I THINK IT IS GENERALLY EXPENSIVE IN THE CITY. IT IS A GENERALLY GOOD FACILITY. THEY HAVE SEVERAL PEOPLE. THEY HAVE AN EVENING AND NIGHT SERVICE IF IT IS AN EMERGENCY AND THAT IS IMPORTANT.

THEY ARE FINE. THEY PUT MY FIRST CAT TO SLEEP, AND I WENT BACK WITH MY SECOND ONE. I WILL KEEP USING THEM. THEY ARE FRIENDLY, THEY ARE HELPFUL AND EFFICIENT. THEY ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE.

THEY DO A REALLY GOOD JOB. THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT THE ANIMALS. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL WITH THEIR WORK. I THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH, BUT THEY DO A VERY GOOD JOB, SO I DIDN'T MIND TOO MUCH.
