Description of Work: I called Amaryllis, a local florist, because I have had disappointing experiences using the giant online florists for deliveries in New York City.The person I spoke with was patient and helpful and I ordered a bouquet with vase to be delivered downtown either the same day or the next day. The only glitch was the recipient was some distance (in Greenwich Village) and without a doorman from the florist (upper west side). The florist tried delivery the same day as the order and no one was home. The recipient was called the next day and delivery was arranged for the 3rd day. The timing wasn't critical so it wasn't a big problem just worrisome.The recipient was very happy with the flowers (but then they always are...to be gracious)but I always feel like I want to see the flowers sent.Based on what I know, Amaryllis is very good and I would use them again.
