It was a disaster. I have never worked with such an unprofessional contractor (Peter Spinelli, the owner of the company) in my life, or even heard of one. My only advice to anyone who has even thought about working with this company is to RUN AWAY, FAST. The reasons are many: - He promised he would be working with his "crew," which turned out to be a single woodworker--who was friendly and prompt, but we later found out (after we had had to fire All Building and brought on another contractor to fix the damage and finish the job) he had done very sub-par work. - Because there was no actual crew, the work that he estimated would take 3 to 4 weeks took him 2 1/2 months, and that was without him even finishing the job. - He added endless additional work orders, driving up the price he'd originally quoted to by more than 150%. And these additional charges were for things that were included in the original contract, but he swore that what we wanted was more complicated or in-depth than what he'd been led to believe we wanted initially. - He didn't even keep track of receipts for building supplies, so the owners of the project couldn't even track his spending--which in several instances seemed wildly overinflated. Then he'd complain that he couldn't pay his (nonexistent) "guys," so he needed more money--still without receipts for where the original money had gone. - The painter he brought on used the wrong kinds of paint in several places--as in paint that immediately started peeling off surfaces and had to be scraped off. - He constantly forgot details about what was specified, and then say nobody had given him instructions in the first place. We had to have him undo work several times. All this because he doesn't appear to even be able to read construction drawings, which of course had all the details indicated. - He seems to have a major memory loss problem--literally. He'd (apparently, honestly) completely forget whole, important conversations. - He blamed all of these mistakes, which were clearly (to everyone involved) his, on the designers of the space. I could go on, but this should be enough to deter anyone from hiring this guy. DON'T DO IT!
