1) They were supposed to finish oiling a part of the deck that Al himself said that needed to done.
2) Their choice for the ironwork company for the fence were ridiculous (Not only did they do a half A*& job where they had to come back to fix it) they installed to sections of the fence backward. I actually didn't notice it until we went to set up the deck for the summer.
3) The solution that they had for re-routing the gutter pipe was an accordion style pvc thing that leaked from the beginning, was sealed and now leaks worse than before. Al told me to that we would try it out through the winter and if it failed he would find a company that could do the customized work. This gutter pipe work was part of the contract.
Well, I've called him, emailed him and called him again and again for the past few months - as of the writing of this- and have gotten NO RESPONSE. None. Radio silence.I now have some boards that are cracking (did I mention that this was ipe wood and the job is only 7 months old), a gutter pipe that leaks badly down in front of our neighbors window and the guy who owns this company ignoring me. Next time I hold the last payment until the work is completed and double checked.
His work is essentially great and he acts very caring and professional but then he doesn't! Very odd and very disappointing. I now have to hire another company to come and fix the pipe that he contracted to complete.
Very disappointed by this final part of my experience with Al Terry. Oh, and I even paid him cash for some of the work....
