Richard did a great job installing an accent wall of wall covering in my clients laundry room, and four walls in the powder room. Richard showed up on time, was trusted to enter the property on his own and was very efficient in getting the project done. He finished everything in one day. He is a real professional and has many years of experience! My client noticed a couple of bubbles in the surface and Richard came out very first thing the next morning to address all of the issues. Client was very happy with the end result! You may want to consult Richard on what type of wall covering to use before you select.

We were very Lucky to find Richard of Accentuate Walls. We started a journey of renovating our small powder room thinking it would be a quick project. When it came to finding someone to wallpaper, we really had a hard time. 3 contractors came in and 3 contractors ghosted us. After doing a google search we found Richard. His extensive knowledge of wall prep and wallpaper hanging was an eye opener to us because our 200 year old powder room needed so much prep. Richard not only took care of every issue but he also guided us on the quality of the wallpaper and waited for us to reorder when our first choice did not work out. Not only were we impressed with Richards work, his work ethic, we were impressed with him. He is a true gentleman and we consider him our new friend. I look forward to starting a new project because I know who I am going to call next time. Thank you Richard

He does excellent work at a fair price. He put up wallpaper in a very small half bath and did a perfect job of matching the paper. He also fixed two long cracks and painted my dining room ceiling. The ceiling is perfect. When he finished the work he did such an excellent job of cleaning up that I did not have to do a thing. I have no problem in recommending him to anyone who wants to quality work manship at a fair price

Richard is beyond amazing! He is passionate about his work and went through the complete job and pointed out imperfections that I had not noticed. He explained to me that once the walls were scored and re-plastered I would have a smooth flawless wall with no cracks any longer. I was a little skeptical as I had been taken advantage by another Painter. Richard not only proved the quality of his work and craftsmanship. As we spoke, I pointed out other things that I was unhappy with, and he smiled and said that?s not a problem. Once it?s properly caulked you will not see that and again he was correct. He is not only passionate about his work, prepping the area and cleaning up were also 100%. He totally changed my perspective and I can?t wait to have him back to do more painting! I would highly recommend him for any painting job you have! Thank you, Richard for listening to my concerns and totally transforming my walls they look fantastic!

This tradesmen has truly been excellent! In addition to the deck painting, he also provided repair of spindles and areas where there was some minor rotting. He also did an interior job for us. His workmanship was terrific. He was very careful to ensure that there was no damage done when working for us. His demeanor was more than SO nice. He is a pleasure to work with and was very fair on his pricing.

Richard Buxenbaum is skilled and knowledgeable on the lost art of plaster veneer and is a true craftsman. He is respectful of historic buildings and true to their original design. He does not try to convince you to update or modernize things the way so many people do. He listens to his clients, offers helpful tips when appropriate and really wants to do the job they want. I would definitely hire him again.

Richard replied immediately to my request and came over the same day. It was a big and tough job with anything from exiting paint to stains and weathering. He spent hours diligently cleaning. We decided to use stain vs a clean sealer and even tho not his recommended approach, he worked to get us the best result.

Plaster Repair
Richard did a great job repairing and skim coating our plaster walls, and he also did a great job repairing multiple cracks in the ceiling as well. He explained every step of the process clearly and offered a very fair price for the work. Overall, Richard did a great job on our walls and has enabled us to move forward with our renovation. No complaints-- would definitely recommend hiring Richard to anyone in need of plaster work.

Richard works with plaster walls and ceilings as well as Sheetrock. True plaster repair craftsmen are hard to come by and our job was plaster repair. Richard is very keen on making sure expectations are meet and even exceeded. He takes great pride in his work and goes above and beyond to see your project through to your satisfaction. Works on a timely schedule, keeps neat areas and makes sure the job site is cleaned up. We have been highly satisfied and are now scheduled to work with Richard on some Sheetrock repair in other areas of our home. Definitely give him a call for that elusive plaster repair craftsman!

Friendly service with transparent pricing.. he found several cracks that i was unable to spot. Rich explains every step in detail ad nauseum so be prepared for a crash course in all things plaster and painting at length. was happy to go back and do additional work at end of the day when there were a couple of places missed. would recommend to others

Highly recommend Richard and Accentuate Walls. We needed some plaster repair, drywall patching, and paintwork done following an HVAC project. Richard was quick to respond to my inquiry, quoted a fair price, and connected me with a fellow contractor to handle the necessary carpentry before he could get started. Richard and his partner did excellent work, left our home neater than they found it, and followed up to ensure we were satisfied with the project. There were two areas where the plaster/paint settled in an imperfect manner (we provided old paint), and Richard returned to refinish those areas at no additional cost. Great value.

Richard was very professional. He was responsive, punctual, knowledgeable and skilled. My wall was cracked and buckling badly. The source of the damage was uncertain. Richard welcomed the challenge. He his time to carefully investigate possible causes and suggested actions I could take to stop further damage. He replaced the damaged part and helped me select a matching color, The wall looks great now. He cleaned up nicely and was pleasant the entire time. I will definitely hire him again.
