ABC CARPET & RUG REPAIR

Phone interaction was fine, and they collected the rug the day after I called.  They phoned a couple of days later to say that carpet was damaged and listed repairs totaling about $1,700.  (The carpet had been in storage for several years.)  All that was fair enough, but when I said I did not want to proceed with the repair they told me it had already been cleaned at a cost of about $300.  As the damage which was reported was extensive and therefore clearly obvious, I feel they should have called me prior to cleaning to see if I wanted to proceed.  As they had my credit card number already I had no choice but to pay, though I told them to discard the carpet.

They cleaned the carpets and when it came time to install the transition strip they told me that it was an additional $100 dollars that was not agreed upon.
