It was a wonderful experience working with John and his team. The plans were clear and understandable resulting in an accurate bidding process. In addition, the plans were clear to the construction team and were executed precisely. We love the way the porch and deck look!!! We wouldn't want to do a project without John. He is busy (I think that is a good thing!), but if you are flexible, he is definitely worth it! We are already working with him on some other home projects and wouldn't want to use anyone else!

The floor plan was good and I was happy until I asked for his recommendation on a contractor. He gave me the worst contractor I have ever used (see my other review for Landmark Construction). When the contractor refused to finish the job I contacted John and it was very obvious that they were working together. He offered very little help and just told me to pay his accomplice. I would not use him again because of his obvious lack of professionalism.

"This is not a true representation of the circumstances . I drew plans for [member name removed] and I recommended 5 contractors to her . All were good. She did not pay her final bill to the contractor for the excellent work that was performed. She also had no problem with the plans I drew. This rating should be removed immediately. He problem (which did not exist) was with the contractor and not John Woodruff Architect."

John is a refreshing change in the world of renovations. He is prompt and delivers exactly what he tells you he will do and in the time frame he states. Which, he moved really fast. He had our drawings done in about a week. This might be a little unusual, but we had a layout and design that was very well thought out by us and he drew exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend John. He is an outstanding individual and gets the job done.
