Flavio and team did a fantastic job with the demolition, redoing our driveway, installing a storm water retention system, installing a new walkway, repairing two sets of steps and back patio, and landscaping. Not everything was easy and smooth about the project but they made it seem that way. The pricing was fair, materials were high quality and the work was done to the highest standards. Flavio and Cathy were communicative, reachable, had great recommendations, worked well with the Town and our other contractors, recommend a quality contractor for iron work, and completed work timely and on budget. They earned our business and trust and we will gladly call them first when we start future projects.

Excellent - This would be the second time I've used Mr LaRocca and his crew and the experience was as impeccable as the first. The team lifted and replaced our bluestone patio, front walkway and poured a new concrete pad to perfection. Amazing job!

Flavio was very proactive during the entire process. While estimating the job, he had a number of suggestions that helped inform the final scope of work. He filed the permit and even unloaded gravel during the drywell installation. Overall he was very involved and the work was completed on time and on budget. I was very satisfied with the overall quality and would recommend LaRocca and Sons for drainage and masonry projects.

This is the second project I've used F. La Rocca and Sons for and I couldn't be happier with the results. We had a drainage issue in our backyard. Flavio diagnosed the issue and came up with a great solution. Though the weather did not fully cooperate, he took advantage of a window in the weather and came with enough of a crew to bang the project out in a day. We would definitely use them for other projects in the future and couldn't recommend them more.

Fantastic!! Working with Mr. La Rocca is a pleasure, as it also is with his office staff, and in particular Cathy. Mr. La Rocca is straight to the point, he tells you everything you need to know about the improvements that you are seeking, and he's a no nonsense type of guy. He tells it like it is. His staff of workers are full time employees, not day hires as many other contractors utilize, and his men are very, very good at what they do, professional, great work, and they leave the job neat and clean at the end of the day. The end result of Mr. La Rocca's work is always beautiful, and if there are any needed adjustments at the end, or later on, he will always work with you to satisfaction. Choosing Flavio La Rocca and Sons for your contracting needs is a safe bet that you will receive quality craftsmanship at an appropriate price. He is a very honorable business man, something that is not always easily found.

Flavio LaRocca and Sons just did our driveway. They did an exceptional work, from beginning to end. They take you step by step during the execution of the project. And they stay on schedule!! They are clean and the quality of their work very good. This is my second project I do with them. I highly recommend them.

La Rocca & Sons are great. Flavio (the owner) shows up on time with a full crew and knocks out the work on time and on budget (I find this is a rare trait in Westchester contractors). We had them redo all of the stonework around our pool and the end result is beautiful. We really could not be happier with how it came out. They also built an outdoor kitchen area for us. Flavio worked with us on the design and the outcome has been perfect. Would definitely recommend to anyone with a stonework project.

FANTASTIC! Every step of the project was all a homeowner could hope for. Scheduling the initial visit and discussion was easy and efficient. There was a timely response with a detailed and fair cost estimate. Scheduling of the work was easy and done to accommodate us. Communications with the office throughout were clear and kept us informed. The crew showed up at the scheduled time, were courteous and professionaldid the work impeccably and cleaned up when they left. I would definitely use F La Rocca & Sons again in the future and highly recommend them.

Flavio stopped by in the morning with his team and they went to work immediately. The guys were good and were done by end of day, which was great. As for the end result, it came out better than we expected.

I hired Flavio La Rocca and Sons to build a retaining wall, renovate a deck and replace a wood patio. I had a terrible experience and do not recommend them. The trouble started when they removed the existing wood patio and Flavio (the owner) suggested that I replace it with brick pavers. When I asked how much he would deduct on my final payment for not having to rebuild the wood patio, he would only credit me for material and labor. Since the cost for rebuilding the wood patio was part of his quote for the entire job, he basically wanted me to pay his profit for the wood patio he didn’t have to do, plus the profit on the pavers patio that would be replacing it. When I told him that it was unreasonable for me to pay his profit on both the pavers and wood patios, he became outraged, quit the job and removed his name from my permit. In response, I told him to forget about the pavers and just finish the wood patio per our agreement. He refused, demanded that I pay him his full profit for the entire job plus a cancellation fee and repeatedly threatened to sue me. He was so unreasonable and confrontational that I paid what he wanted just to get rid of him. Although I had a great case for breach of contract, I didn’t bother suing because the time, expense and inconvenience wasn’t worth it. Now I have a large, unsightly area of bare ground where my wood patio once was, yet Flavio ended up with more money than if he had finished the job. I felt ripped off, but I was glad that I no longer had to deal with him. I’ve never before dealt with a contractor with such total disregard for customer satisfaction. My advice is to STAY AWAY from Flavio La Rocca and Sons.

The estimate on cost, starting date, and completion date were accurate. The crew sent took care of everything. No mess was left, and I could not be happier

Cathy visited our home to take a look and make a quote.
Agreed to work and they started within a week of signing.
Said they would be there by 8am. They showed up nice and early and started work right away. 
Originally said they'd take 2 days but completed all the work in just one day. 
4-5 guys worked very hard throughout the day. removed all the poison ivy and poison oak to root level. Took off about 4-6 inches of soil, dirt, weeds, stones and rocks. Replaced with new top soil and leveled the garden and re-seeded.
Very happy with the result - just need to water it twice a day now and wait for the grass to grow.
Professional and hard working team. Pleasure working with Cathy and her Father. Will definitely use them again for phase 2 of our garden - planting and decking.

The men arrived early and completed the jobs within three hours. Left everything neat and clean.

Mr. La Rocca's workers were at the house promptly before 8:00 A.M. each day, and worked steadily until 5:00 P.M. The stonework was so damaged from the harsh winter that they had to be almost completely taken apart. They did more than I expected them to do, and all the stonework looks beautiful. The stairs, walkway and retaining wall all look like brand new.

 Mr. LaRocca responded to our call for an estimate promptly, and began and completed all work within the stated timeframe. At the beginning of work, he instructed his men on what was to be done and did an inspection upon on completion. Mr. LaRocca and his office assistant Cathy were both very professional and a pleasure to work with. I would certainly use their services for any masonry work again and recommend them highly.

Originally hired Mr La Rocca to seal my driveway in the Fall of 2013. Although his price was high I agreed because I believed this contractor had a good reputation & I wanted a quality job. The sealer was applied on November 5, 2013. After a long harsh winter with constant snow cover (we don't plow or use our driveway when snow covered due to it being on an incline) I was disappointed to see that the sealer had washed away on a large part of my driveway. I immediately contacted the office of Mr. La Rocca & was told that he would come out and see for himself. He also had his supplier come out to see the problem as well. I was notified via e-mail on May 28, 2014 that there may indeed have been a bad pail of sealer & that Mr. La Rocca would reseal that portion of the driveway at his expense. I thought that was a very fair outcome. The work however was not done, despite my repeated calls to his office, until November 10, 2014 just when it was getting cold again. I had read that it was best applied in dry weather with temps in the 70's - 80's. Well after the snow melted this winter I was once again dismayed to find much of the sealer washed away. I sent an e-mail to Mr. La Rocca explaining my displeasure with the work but have yet to receive a response.

Flavio LaRocca was so professional, courteous and responsive from start to finish. he arrived on time for estimate. He started and completed job as promised! He was neat and qualified. It was an unusually great experience.

Mr. La Rocca conducted himself professionally and followed through promptly on any issue/concern that we had. Cathy from the office was a pleasure to work with in the coordination and follow-through of the project. Their assisstance in the handling of the city permit added to the success of the project.

Flavio always tells you when he will be there to do the job and he is there as promised.

LaRocca's company was very sensitive to our feelings in doing this patio for the second time since we were not happy with the original one that was done by another company. They were absolutely perfectionists and understood how important thjs project was to us and that we wanted it to be something we could be proud of. They gave us a projected time of completion and brought it in exactly on time. They were professional and very courteous in dealing with my husband and me and their price was the lowest of the three bids we got. My husband and I can recommend them without hesitation to anyone who wants to use them. They were outstanding. I would give them a mark of A+++++.
