as bad as it could have gone. he took my money, didn't finish the job at all and won't fix it. won't return my calls of course. he even sent Eric, a guy that works with him as an electrician to my house demanding payment after i had paid arturo lira with checks and can prove it. this company doesn't appear to be insured, he doesn't appear to even have a licence. he doesn't legally own his company, so he has zero liability.

Long story short: I had known Arturo for 3 years for redoing my furniture and small jobs. I consider him a friend. I met his wifr, his mon, his dog....I wrote reviews and recommended ARTURO LIRA AND CASA LIRA AND HIS OTHER COMPANY... ULPHOSTERY WORKS to my friends and neighbors in WESTCHESTER. The last job I trusted him to do was my mudroom (install a sink, light fixture and 3 cabinets) he was paid almost in full and guess what? My mudroom has no sink, no light fixture and thr job is botched ... it going to cost thousands more to o fix the "job" arturo did. I paid him $5,000 for thr mudroom work out of friendship. He won't answer phones, he won't answer email he won't show his face. He still has out keys and garage opener, which means I had to change my locks. We are even installing video cameras this week. He was supposed to finish the job by 5/15. I haven't heard from him since. I don't know if he has a licence. The business is registered to his wife melissa lira and the insurance has been revoked... all that info is available online. I wished i checked before. He has several arrests under his belt, he doesn't even have a driver's licence yet drives everywhere, the lack of drivers licence is due to his immigration status for some reason he actually admitted it to me.
