Horrible service. Had to reschedule due to late arrival then when show up tech says “ok which of the 3 units am I servicing? You only contracted for 1 heating and 3 hvac. They couldn’t bother to qualify this before coming? Ripoff dishonest business. Don’t use them.

it went well. the only thing was he put in a different shape water heater. the old one was taller and slim. the one he put in was shorter & fatter. it's my fault for not paying more attention. i only realized it when i was taking clothes out of the dryer, it just felt a little tight. don't make that mistake i did. just ask questions & know everything that is going on.

TF Obrien stepped up to the plate when I needed them. The job was rather big and time consuming so it was split up over a week time period. It was getting pretty cold so I called and explained the situation. They were able to get me into the schedule sooner which I very much appreciated. The final repair became complex but they hung in there till it was completed. Andre was my tech and he is very professional and knowledgeable. They are not cheap by any means but I received additional quotes and TF Obrien was in the ballpark. I ended up purchasing a service contract as I plan on staying with them. I can highly recommend them.

I have a service contract with them. They installed my new boiler and have been happy with their work ever since.

Suggested replacing either the entire system or parts. I ended up fixing it myself by simply releasing air through valves

The job went better than expected from beginning to end. We didn't think a split system was possible in our kitchen, so we were pleased to learn that we had just enough room for one. The installer, Steve, decided on the spot that the planned placement of the outdoor unit wouldn't work and chose a better place for it. O'Brien provided their own electrician. Everyone we dealt with was prompt, courteous, and capable. O'Brien filed the paperwork for a rebate from PSEG and gave us an off-season discount as well. We felt our money was well spent.

Very Poor customer service and communication, they were very hostile and defensive towards my wife, called her difficult, walked away from her, raised their voices.

We like their service. We use them a lot. They're great! They maintained our home. It took 1-2 hours and there were two workers.

They came on 10/19/2016, I let them in and they went to work. I was on the computer looking for the discount coupon (Mistake?). I trusted them because I used 2-3 years prior and they did OK. After awhile they told me that my gas exchanger was leaking because they measured the gas before the exchanger (0 ppm parts per million) and after the exchanger (10 ppm) Which is what I would be breathing. They said they have to shut down the system until they can get a new one from the manufacturer (It was still under warranty). I told them they could not shut my system because it was getting cold and I had been living with the system with no ill effects. I asked them how much it would cost to change the exchanger; they said I should call the office and speak to (I think the name was Dan) to get a price. I called the office and spoke to Dan; he told the cost would be $1600 or $2600 I don't remember which, I told him to go ahead and order the parts.I'm a retired RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) and I've spent 32 years doing gas measurements, so I decided, even though he showed me the 10 ppm from my vent, for this kind of money I wanted to do a measurement for myself. I went out and bought a CO carbon monoxide manometer and did a reading the same way the tech did and I got (0 ppm). I said to myself well that cant be right, maybe it's a bad manometer.I got myself a zip lock bag, placed the manometer inside the zip lock, went out to my car, started the car, put the bag over the exhaust pipe. The alarms started going crazy; the meter was working fine.I went back upstairs remeasured my exhaust, (0 ppm). I called Dan back and told him to cancel the order with the manufacture and he said "ok". I don't know if he canceled it or not. FYI: I Googled the harmful level of CO and it's 6-10 ppm. I'm not saying anyone did anything wrong, just relaying a story as it happened. I monitor my vent every week and every week i get (0ppm).

Every aspect of dealing with TF Obrien was, truly, outstanding. From the thorough estimate process with realistic suggestions to the installation and everything in between. They did not require a down payment before having an experienced installer come in to determine if they would be able to do what I wanted based on the layout of my house, which he assured me could be done. And it was! Most of all it was the customer service during the installation that was above and beyond. I had adopted a dog just before the install began. She was terrified of people. I stayed with her in the one room they didn't need to work in. The foreman gave me his cell # so when I had to take her outside, I could call him and he would have everyone hide so she didn't get scared. Every time for almost a week!! They were great.

The only thing I wasn't happy with was that when he put new one in he put a shorter fat one in. We had a skinny one, now it's a little too close to the dryer. I thought I would get the same kind of heater so it's my mistake for not asking I guess. But I think he should have mentioned it.

Informed the arrival will be in the morning but didn't come on-site until 2pm but no one call for update. He found furnace not coming on and just a few things and informed us that they need to return to replace blower limit switch. provided quoted. They charged $150 for analysis of the furnace with no work performed. It has been a week and still no update.

The initial consultation was great. The Sales rep did a good job explaining the type of system I needed to install since I have dual system heating in the house. He sent a written estimate of the requested services and charges within 48 hours and answered all of my questions/concerns. The written estimate included all company policies. I decided to proceed with T.F. O'Brien for the entire system replacement based on their years of experience and reviews on Angies List. The technicians showed up on time and proceeded to dismantle the old furnace, however, they didn't drain out any of the rusty water that was in the old furnace so as they used the hand truck to get the dismantled pieces out, the rusty water spilled along the stairwell and splashed against the newly painted white walls. (I just purchased the home 2 months before and hired a contractor to renovate and paint the entire house and redo the wood stairway). I would have covered the floors and walls with contractor’s paper if I knew it was going to be soo messy. I opted to have the work done in summer (August 25th & 26th) so that I would have zero problems once the weather changed. The technicians worked for 2 days getting everything installed and explained how the unit works. I ended you requesting a manual for the furnace since I knew that I would not remember everything to do by the time I was ready to start the system up. Although it took a couple of weeks to get the information, T.F. Obrien did respond to my request and provided the information. After I started up the unit late one evening in October 2016, I realized that water was leaking from the furnace in 2 places, I quickly shut down the unit and sent an email to my T.F. Obrien sales rep. The service manager contacted me very early the morning and advised that a technician would come out to resolve the problem. Once the technician arrived he made all the necessary repairs to ensure that the system will work without a hitch. Although, there were a couple of issues, I am giving T.F. OBrien an A rating because of their responsiveness to making everything right. I understand that unexpected things happen but it's what you do to resolve the problems that make all the difference. T.F. Obrien responded with a sense of urgency and corrected the problem - well done! Thank You.
