FRANK GRAVES IRRIGATION

Made an appointment and Frank & his associate showed up on time. Frank is humorous and his associate seems to be new, prob a trainee. Frank cleaned the backflow preventer which seemed to be the culprit of the low pressure in the irrigation system. However, my whole house was now left without water b/c Frank tinkered with water valve and apparently the valve had a gauge drop. He had to call back-up for the replacement valve. Waited for a long time but the person never showed up. Eventually he had to run to the plumbing store which is super close according to him to purchase the replacement valve. The bill came as a surprise at a whopping 600 without itemization which I do not believe is reasonable for two hours. I believe I got charged for the time they were waiting for this guy who never showed up and potentially full rate for the trainee who wasn't needed. Try to reason with Frank but he stood firm on the invoice. Initially I was expecting for a fee quote before they do any work, but they were checking stuff and one thing led to other, I never got a chance to ask and they never mentioned anything about the quote. So that's on me, but I expected a bit more professionalism from them to give me a head's up before deciding to charge me 600 after most of the time they spent on the property was waiting on to get the water valve they broke fixed. A little advice, he said that he had to buy a valve that had no lead in it so it's expensive. If you use them for plumbing work, make sure they always buy lead free pipes. TLDR - Called for irrigation problem but they ended up breaking my whole water supply and charged me 600 to fix it.

They replaced a couple of sprinkler heads for me and a couple of days later it started to leak again. I thought they were expensive.

.Called for an estimate 2 weeks prior. Was given an written estimate explaining the complete layout, zones, type of heads to be used,    backflow check valve, brand of heads and timer. They showed up at 7:45 and were done by 3:30. They were very neat and curtious and left the lawn with minimal damage from installing the lines. Was very happy with the job and would recommend them to  family.

It took the serviceman extra time and a lot of effort to locate the shutoff valve and the blowout access. He took it in stride, took the time to solve the issues and did the job well.

Frank’s people are great! They are responsive and professional.

They did maintenance on my sprinkler system just this morning and they did a good job. The price too was fair.
