He is wonderful, great and personable. He and his brother do it and he is a busy man. We had a couple of quotes and he was comparable to other people. He was right in line with what the other people were charging. The other person that we bid, he was a little bit lower. The work was beautiful. He explains every aspect of the job He will come and look at the job and then he explains what he needs to do and any additional charges that may be incurred. He comes out to do the measurement, take a look at the hardwood floor and will give his opinion. I can't stress enough the honesty of this man. Anybody who needs it will feel it right away. He is so trustworthy and honest. He is busy, but that is where the honesty comes in. He is busy, but due to his busyness he will give you a true time frame of what he's got. It worked for me although it got a little stretched out there, but I was not going to be ready for him. With a contractor, that is always going to be an issue. He had earlier times that did not work for me. He was punctual and once the job is started he carries through with what he says it is going to take. He is a quick hard worker while he is here and is in and out with what he says he is going to do. My son recommended him through jobs that he had done.
Mark was very clear about what steps he would take to refinish our floor and what he would do to install/repair the hardwood that was missing. He gave us a quote for the work and a date and the amount of time he would need to complete the job. In addition, he advised us of the short period of time we may need to be out of that room and he supplied hanging barriers to minimize any refinishing dust. He started work exactly when he had quoted us and worked continually until our room was completed. He went beyond our expectations and reworked the current flooring with the new to insure it blended with the existing floors in our adjacent bedroom and two hallways. In addition he installed a new buhlwork (I think it's called) for a step down from the dining room into the parlor. He was very careful about working around our newly painted room and always cleared away any tools etc.
From there the pre-finished floor was installed.
