I love them. I love the people there. I would highly recommend them to anybody that has a pet. They may be a little more expensive than some places. I absolutely am stuck on them.

We were asked to keep the cat in the car because he was exhibiting signs of illness. That seemed like a good idea for the protection of other animals in the clinic. However, the clinic was running extremely late. We had to wait at least half an hour to be seen. However, the doctor was kind, gentle, and took the time to listen to our problem. She gave us several options to treat the cat. I will return there, but I think I will look for early morning appointments so they won't be so far behind schedule.

The very last time I took my cat to this vet, an extremely unruly black lab was brought in, too. Although there was a separate room for loud dogs, etc., the staff proceeded to make a fuss over the dog in the middle of the waiting room (petting it and talking to it), making the atmosphere so chaotic that my cat had an accident in her carrier. Being that she's a very calm cat, she didn't make a peep until I got into an exam room to remove her from her carrier. When I realized she had had an accident, the vet tech scoffed. I had to ask for paper towels to clean her up before the vet came in - and the whole time, I could hear the staff laughing and making a fuss over another dog that was brought in, right outside the door. Needless to say, I was embarrassed, my cat was frantic and I vowed never to go back. I now take both cats to Paris Hill where we don't run into any anti-cat mentalities and they are respectful of pets and their owners.

We came to Burrstone Animal Hospital in 2005 after some very bad experiences with another local animal hospital. ( New Hartford animal hospital in washington Mills NY) The care my dogs recieve here is excellent, low cost and their employees are the very best. Recently our newly aquired rescue dog became ill and we brought him in and he needed to be admitted because he was very ill with ketoacidosis due to his diabetes which we just found out he had, He was in their care for three days and nights and while he was there the employees of Burrstone Animal Hospital were wonderful to him as well as to myself and my husband. After they got his blood glucose down to an acceptable level we were able to bring him home. He now needed a whole lot of home care due to his diabetes which included insulin injections twice a day, urine checks for ketones, feedings twice a day with new low calorie foods and blood glucose checks which we needed a special meter for. We were a bit overwhelmed and did not know if we could handle this. Dr, Noelle Perry made us comfortable in his care by returning our frantic phone calls in a timely manner, and assisting us with all the new treatments. In fact, every single employee at Burrstone Animal Hospital were wonderful and continue to be as we try to settle into a routine with our Diabetic dog, and still need to call freqently to ask questions and schedule appointments. Having three dogs, all rescues with special needs had us looking for great medical care and this is where we found it. From the Receptionists to the techs who take care of things behind the scenes to the Veterinarians, every single person at Burrstone Animal Hospital takes great pride in their jobs and they all love what they do. We recommend this place to every family who needs a great place to bring their animals for their regular yearly care, and for those rare emergencies where you need someone to save your pets life. Too many animal hospitals care more about the money they are making than the pets that they care for, Burrstone Animal Hospital is not like that. They KNOW your animals are not just 'pets' but are a part of your family and they treat them as such. They also take the time to 'care' for the families of those pets when they are worried or frantic about the illness or injuries of their dogs, cats or whatever animals are part of their lives. Burrstone Animal Hospital and Dr. Perry get a *10* in our book! Highly recommended to all of you out there who love your pets!
