Excellent. Great company. Very friendly and they love their work. It seems like it is more than just a job to them.

The job is impeccable! I would highly recommend Earth & Stone Masonry. The owner is a stand up guy who communicates very well and gives honest and true time evaluation as to when he expects to be complete. In fact they were so busy that when he gave us our estimate he admittedly told us that he was out several weeks to start our project and was very forthcoming about when he would be able to start. After speaking with him and seeing his portfolio we knew we had to wait. Well the wait was well worth it. We are so much more than pleased with the work performed in our home.

I have to say, Bill Davis is one of the best contractors we have ever dealt with. From start to finish-he was just a joy to work with. He came out immediately after we contacted him to look at everything and give an estimate. He was on time and enthusiastic about having the chance to give us his thoughts and ideas. This was almost the entire front area of our home that was in desperate need of a makeover so we had a lot of questions and concerns to make sure we were all on the same page with regard to the overall look and vibe. Bill listened to every neurotic question I asked and always gave thoughtful answers. He had so many great ideas that we had not even thought of. He seemed to understand very well what we wanted and assured us it would be beautiful when complete.
We felt comfortable with him and gave him the green light. He was booked out for a couple of months, but we decided to wait it out:) When he finally started it was all day and so exciting to see the progress that was made every day. He had a crew of two amazing guys and Bill was on site every day. Any minor concerns we had along the way-Bill and his crew were always there to come up with a solution. He was never dismissive or annoyed with us. I really felt like we were a team-that rarely happens with hired contractors. 
They were done in about a week. Everything he completed exceeded our expectations. It's all simply beautiful. Our home has so much more curb appeal now and we cannot wait until spring to be able to paint and add landscaping. 
I know how tough it is to find good contractors and good people. Bill, is indeed, both. He is not the cheapest guy on the block, but you get what you pay for. If you need serious stone, paver or masonry work done-hire a guy like Bill that is an expert in this area. I have full confidence that he will always be available if we have any questions or if anything needs tweaking in the spring.
Don't hesitate to hire him for a second. He's a an excellent contractor and an excellent human being. And that counts in our book.

I can't begin to tell you what a fantastic job Bill Davis and his crew did. They removed the existing shrubs which was a huge job, as they had been there close to 30 years. Bill worked with us designing an entry that far exceeded my expectations.  Prior to beginning the job we were given several samples of different stones to chose the colors of the stairs, treads and retaining wall. He even made a mosaic for our landing, which he hand cut to perfection.  We will enjoy the beautiful work he did for many many years and I know it increased the value of our home substantially.  Bravo to the entire crew who worked full days in the extreme heat!  We will be calling you when we are ready to do our back patio.

Highly recommended. we were more than pleased with this beautiful work. Bill and his men were easy to work with. They were professional, were on time, worked hard and long, cleaned up after themselves. The price was in the medium range but the job was superb. We would use them again.

Bill was a pleasure to deal with. Him and his crew spent 2 full days doing repairs to our front steps. They left our property spotless, and answered all our questions. To be honest, at first I thought the price was a little high, but then after seeing a crew of 3 men for full 2 days straight, the price was more than fair. Excellent, honest, and a pleasure to deal with. Would not hesitate to hire again, or to recommend to someone.

It was great. It was falling apart so he did that work and he did the deck overhaul. It was excellent. Everything about them was very professional, professional and they did a great job. They cleaned up when they left and my house isn't falling down up there. He seemed like a go-getter kind of person and he was very polite. They came out right away to give us an estimate. The price was very good so we went with them. It took them just a couple of days to be here and then they are there every day on time.

Bill Davis and his crew Greg, Jerrry and Rob were awesome. They were professional and punctual with an outstanding work ethic. Bill saved us from a project started by another mason gone bad late in the fall.. Bill asked for, listened to, and integrated all of our input throughout construction to create exactly what we wanted. The quality of his craftsmanship and attention to detail is unsurpassed.
    Unfortunately, in Decmeber the weather did not cooperate and allow completion of the project. Bill promised to return as soon as the weather permitted. As promised, as soon as the ground thawed, Bill called to let us know that he will be returning to complete the project. I would recommend Bill Davis to anyone needing any of the services he provides without hesitation. He is honest, reliable, trustworthy and truly a stone artist.

It went really well.  They put a lot of thought into the shape and style with me so that it would function as I wanted it to, making several trips to my home to assess the job. They did the work on time and as promised and it's a quality job.

He was fantastic! He did it when he said he would, finished when he said he would and did everything I asked. The price was also very reasonable.

Since 2010 we have had Bill come and work with us on a number of projects.  This is a review of Bill I wrote in 2010 for "Old House Journal:"

Bill is wonderful and his craftsmanship is exceptional!  We were in the middle of major house repairs when we realized our 200 year old foundation needed repair;  Bill was able to squeeze us into his schedule and he did a great job, even the new mortar matches the old.  Because his work was such good quality, we had him come back and rebuild the opening to our home's original 200 year old cooking fireplace and three stone walls around our gardens that the previous mason did not construct properly.

Since 2010, Bill has been back in 2012 and again in 2013/14 to rebuild more foundation and garden walls and design and build the stone stair entrance to the gardens.  Bill and his crew do a fantastic job!

Bill is very personable and professional - easy to talk to and never felt like he was putting any pressure on me.
Bill and his crew went beyond expectations filling in gaps around the windows, repointing everywhere that needed mortar repair, and did a fantastic job patching the stucco. We had a large crack in the basement that he repaired as well as 3 window frames they built out nicely. It really feels like the house is complete and solid now. No more easy access for pests!
While foundation repair may not be the most glamorous of house repair, I'm really excited to have the foundation solid, sealed, and looking fantastic!

First off, Bill is a gentleman. Professional in his communications and explaining in what needs to be done and how. Patient and well mannered. His working crew employ the same qualities and they get along well with each other. Which shows that they enjoy the work they do, which I believe plays an important role in the quality that they produce. Also, Bill returns phone calls.
The work started on 11-17-11 and was completed and the site was well cleaned up on 11-30-11.
Bill is also honest and fair. He had stated that if he could get his backhoe into the working area, he would reduce the price. For which he did by 1000.00. I was very grateful for this. Bill and his crew showed up on time every day and worked even when dark had fallen. He had set up lights to continue working and tents and shelters to protect the work-in- process from some minor rain we had during this time. Bill was very patient with all of my concerns and questions I had as the job progressed. They were very careful and protective of those areas of my house that were not involved, but  in close proximity of the work being done. This also speaks of professionalism and respect.
 When the job was finished, I was very pleased. I only had a few concerns about  a stone or two which he took care of immediately   
The wall is beautiful and you can see that Bill had taken care to see that the wall and its "stone pattern" matches the pattern of the stone chimney which sits above the wall. In the end I feel that they did an excellent job, I'm happy with the whole process and how the project came out, and I would definitely hire Earth and Stone Masonry again for my future masonry projects.
