Description of Work: Started work, made a mess and never came back to finish. Refused to return deposit and claimed he was entitled to keep the deposit for estimate and work started on "quantum meruit" basis at $80.00 per hour.

 + -1 moreCalled BIHI for an estimate for a largescale kitchen remodel (50k plus). Owner returned call right away. NIce enough on phone. Stated that he does not give an estimate unless we gave him a retainer. If you do not like the plan or the estimate he produces and you choose not to go with him, he keeps the retainer fee for his time and effort. Really? He says that too many people are just "shopping around for estimates." Really? That is the cost of doing business. I would NEVER use this business.

 + 0 moreEverything went well, except wasn't happy with the fence that he put up (didn't cover the area that i wanted)
Description of Work: Does A+ work and takes pride in work, but is very rigid in the way he does things. is expensive, but the work is worth it after i had several bad experiences. only complaint is that he put a fence up for me and it was not exactly the way i wanted it. I got a deck finished that was half complete from previous contractor and some excavating.
