Majestic Lawn Care

I had my idea what should be done, my son had his idea what should be done, and they did it their way. It looks nice but there were shrubs that we didn't think that were going to go in, black mulch that we didn't think that was going to go all over but they did a good job, and we couldn't say anything to them because they didn't speak English. They were not on time whenever they said they're going to be there although there was a couple of rain days, they were clean, they were neat, they were supposed to remove a stump but they covered it up, they camouflaged it.

They produced a serviceable plan, but it lacked panache. The estimate was detailed and thorough. We ended up going with another company that we thought would have a better plan. And they did, but that's another story. We haven't moved forward on any of our landscaping plans and have not ruled out Majestic to execute some of it.

They had to level the ground and fixed my yard up so that I can put my pool up. I did have to call them up couple of times for them to come out but I rate them very highly.

Majestic's response is untrue.  I have the water bills to show that we did indeed follow his  advice about watering our lawn.   Our lawn did not dry out; it didn't turn brown, and it wasn't ruined, as they claim.  It just had big, bare spots where they forgot to seed and from mowing just days after applying new seed.  And I still have the paperwork that was left after their last visit on December 10--saying they'd applied fertilizer and that we should water.   That paperwork was dated by them: 12/10/10.  Not only was their response untrue, it didn't even address the majority of issues that I cited in my original review.

They did an excellent job. They were mowing my lawn for a while and then they stopped. We did have a disagreement on the price due to the steepness of my property; so I went with someone else but they did do extensive landscaping for me which I was very pleased with. They did a very good job but I did have to have them come back and make an adjustment because they had put one bush in the wrong spot. It took me a couple of weeks of phone calls to get them to move the bush to the right spot. I spent $3500 for the landscaping job. I don’t know how to rate the price because I didn’t shop around on landscaping but I am very pleased with the results. I have got a lot of compliments from my neighbors on their work.

The initial work--replacing foundation plantings--went well, although I had to call a few times to remind them. We were not pleased with the lawn care.   Although we had an estimate showing cost per gallon for certain lawn chemicals,  nothing prepared us for the quantity that was billed, especially since our lawn is on the small side.   Then, when they seeded, they forgot the back and side of the property.  Eventually they came back with more grass seed, but then they mowed a few days later and the new seed was gone.  It took another 3 weeks to get some response from the owner, but by then it was too hot to put down new seed. I agreed to pay a little extra to have two small beds weeded, but after the first time, I had to call every couple of weeks to remind them.   The workers mowed the grass to about 2-1/2 ", even in the hottest weather.   Three times I asked to have the grass cut longer (to help preserve water).  The foreman even told me it was too short and that he'd talk to the owner, but they never complied.  When I complained to the owner about something once, he told me I should tell the workers instead.   And the foreman actually came to my door and asked me not to complain to the boss again because I got him in trouble.  The final straw came in mid-December, when they applied some chemical and left a card saying we should water the lawn.  Of course, by then the ground was frozen, the outside water was shut off, and the hoses were put away. That was our first experience with a lawn care company.  We've hired another company this year and I expect to be much happier.   For one thing, I have a flat fee for each lawn application--less than half of what I paid to Majestic. 

Majestic is very professional. They show up every week like clock work. We have used them for several years and will continue calling them for the next several years. I highly recommend them.

THEY'RE VERY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL, AND IT'S A GOOD CREW THAT COMES AND DOES EVERYTHING VERY QUICKLY. THEY WORK TOGETHER SO THEY'RE IN AND OUT. THEY HAVE THE LATEST EQUIPMENT WHICH THEY USE EFFICIENTLY, AND THEY'RE JUST ABLE TO DO THE WORK THAT WE NEED DONE.

THEY ARE GOOD, BECAUSE THEY DO GOOD WORK, AND THEY'RE NEAT. THE PRICE IS REASONABLE FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD. IT'S WHAT THEY CHARGE. THEIR WORK IS GOOD QUALITY, AN A. WHEN IT SNOWS THEY CALL AND ASK IF WE WANT THEM TO COME OUT, AND I LIKE THAT.
