Ken Kessler has done numerous upgrades on our house in Rockland county over the past almost 20 years. He completed a re-painting of our house, remodeling of our kitchen, and rebuilt our outdoor deck. At every step of the way for each job, whether large or small, Ken has been completely reliable and taken care of everything needed, including any permits needed. His work is clean, and he is always reasonable with his pricing. His employees work efficiently and are courteous, cleaning up after each job. One winter when traveling abroad for a few weeks, we returned to see the majority of work done, right on schedule. Above all, Ken has always been courteous, kind, and very responsive to feedback, which demonstrates his commitment to excellent home renovations.

Ken and his team at Highland are true professionals. The first time we used Highland, Ken worked within our budget and time-frame and was able to turn an ugly 1970's bathroom into something amazing. The second time we used Ken, our hot-water heater went late at night, and Ken walked me through the steps on how to empty it and was at our door the next morning at 7:30am with a new water heater in his truck and he got our house running hot water again 45 minutes later. I would highly recommend Ken for anyone's needs, and we will surely be using him again!

The completed work was very nice. However, company demands entire payment after showing up on the job once. Even after payment in full, work progressed very slowly. Work took four months longer than promised finish date. Many days and weeks no one showed up. Had to keep calling and inquiring about status. Ken and office staff polite and personable, but if you have a deadline, don't expect them to meet it. When they show up, work is satisfactory, but you need someone on site, checking every day, and giving them a punch.
