"As the owner I would like to keep a positive reputation and respond. This gentlemen hired another plumber first, threw him out of his house before my arrival. I was then asked before starting the job to "do better on the price", I did by discounting the 1 hour sewer snaking from $225 to $190, with the understanding that after that we charge $80 per hour. We spent 2.5 hours with 2 service techs (5 man hours) with a combined 45+ years experience cleaning paper towels, plastic bags, diapers and other rubber materials out of the sewer. We then hit a solid obstruction 55' out (sewer is aprox 125' long and over 100 years old) We advised him to call the city for sewer lateral location as there was none known. He was told by the city they would come out the next day. I told him if the city found a buried drain opening I would return the following day, and snake that point at an additional charge, (I had not charged $80 per hour in addition for the extra time spent clearing his pluged sewer at this point). He then exploded at me saying "I already paid you" I tried to explain this misunderstanding and he then began swearing and threatening us at which point I refused him future service. He was asking us to work a 7-8 hour job at the cost of a 1 hour job. Bottom line, he wanted plumbing service and did not want to pay for one."
