TIM LARAWAY

We have been getting wood from Rich for several years. He is dependable, the wood is dry and split into small pieces to fit our wood stove and the price is great. Highly recommend!

This year we asked Tim to do the gutters and he did some masonry tuckpointing and in general made that side of the church building watertight. He is very professional and he knows all different kinds of things about roofing. He is happy to share with us what he is doing and how it should be done. Whatever our response is he would go with it and do it, but first of all he would give us his expert opinion and I appreciate that.

My roof had at least 4 known leakage sites when I contacted Laraway. It took about two weeks before he could do a ground level inspection and offer a quote. Between the weather and his availability, it was another two weeks before he could start work. Job was completed in a day with two workers (Laraway and his son). Work was thorough and professional. Slate roof repair is a specialized and dying art. Tim Laraway is one of the few competent slaters in the Albany area.

We had trouble getting someone to give us an estimate while we were trying to buy our house, and Tim showed up and did it within a couple days for free. Then when it came time to do the work, he did it promptly and for the price he'd quoted. The leaks stopped. He also let us know what some of the long term needs would be on our roof, but didn't pressure us to do them sooner than necessary.
