OK. They came, graded and quickly paved in short order. They warned of some dirt piles which we could either pay to remove or have distributed into the back yard. He said about 12 wheelbarrows full. The actual result was only about two wheelbarrows. I would have preferred more dirt piles and better grading. the slope is a bit steep and we often bottom out at the sidewalk backing out. There was a small (about 3 ft) area of existing sloped concrete at the foot of the drive and he graded to it and kind of pitch patched over part of it. I wish he had dug up that bit of concrete and made a more gentle grade.There is also no topcoat. It was never discussed, but they should have brought up the issue, and they never returned my call when I left a message about it.
