As they say cheap becomes expensive. It seems at every turn, there was another lie an another cost. We were told within 1 week of cabinets being delivered, the kitchen would be installed --- cabinets arrived 5/1; work started 5/20. We were told it would take a week to install and they (HD) wrote installation completed around 5/11. Now I am looking at completion date the 3rd week in June When Home Depot came to measure, we were told one price; then they sent the installer to check and the price went up $800. Next the electrician came and it was one price; his men walked off the job because they wanted more money. Home Depot to their credit said I was not responsible for the extra cost, it should have been noticed in the first place. Next they came to make a template of the counters, and they informed me it would be 3 more weeks without a sink, dishwasher and running water. To add insult to injury, they said the price Home Depot billed me is probably the wrong price and I wasn't getting the rounded corners I thought I paid for and that would be around another $200-250, they will call me in a week with the price. Even stranger, the counter guy told me I was getting a sink with a faucet on the side --- who has a faucet on the side of their sink, doesn't make sense. So now there will be an additional price for the sink. 'We chose Home Depot because we figured they would be around a long time rather than the local guy who might go out of business, like what happened with our bathroom. Unfortunately Home Depot said things to get the sale, but they then cause a distrust and distaste for the whole company. One good thing is the carpenters did a nice job installing the cabinets.
Description of Work: We wanted just to replace kitchen cabinets and countertops.
