H.N.S.T. Mold Inspections, LLC

My parents had a couple of leaks in their house in an upstairs bathroom and mold developed in the basement. We hired John Skelly to do the mold assessment as well as to test for asbestos. When he got to the house, he looked everything over and took air samples which were sent to a lab. He took special pictures showing where there was moisture. He had a lot of technical equipment and made great use of it. After he was done, he sent me an email with a report explaining everything to me and to the mold remediator we hired. It was a detailed report with an incredible amount of data that included a thorough plan for the remediators and also explained the precautions they should take as well as what equipment they should use and where. He took multiple pictures showing where the mold and water damage was and included these in his report. In addition to everything else mentioned, John was very supportive and extremely helpful. When he learned from the remediators that my parents had a leak that couldnâ t be seen before the drywall was down, he got out a ladder and climbed up into the ceiling to see where the leak was. He took video of where the water was leaking so that we could show it to the plumber we hired next, as well as to the insurance company. John told us with this new information that he believed there was a leak in some part of the upstairs toilet and that this is likely what caused most or all of the mold. He really went above and beyond for us. John did a fantastic job. Throughout the entire process, he communicated constantly keeping us apprised of all that was happening. He really went above and beyond for us and helped us in any and every way that he could. He didnâ t need to do some of the things he did. You cannot go wrong if you hire him to assess for mold or asbestos-or anything else he is licensed to evaluate-in your home. I very highly recommend John Skelly!

John came out to check the house on very short notice, was very nice and accommodating despite the fact that I was a little late. The house inspection was very accurate and thorough. John took the time to explain his findings to me and the previous owners in a very clear manner, answering all manners of questions. Knowing that the situation was quite complicated - new owners, old owners, insurance companies, and poor remediation by previously hired company, John delivered a report in the midst of a long holiday weekend. The report also included the necessary steps and procedures to be followed in order for a proper and final remediation to our mold problem. Guess who's going to be asked to perform our follow up inspection?
