I would tell everyone there was no hidden expenses. Jennifer whom I spoke with was always in contact with me. She knew the people in the building Dept. She told me how much the permit was, other estimates I received wanted more money for the work done and charge me more for the permit. I was satisfied with the workers also. In June, I hired Castlton Environmental Contractors to remove an abandon oil tank from my property. Reasonably priced, the entire staff from Carmine to Jennifer, were extremely courteous, helpful and proficient, above and beyond expectations. The crew removed the oil tank methodically and seamlessly, with no disruption to my house. In addition, they handled all the mandated filing, obtained the village permit and assured compliance with state DEC regulations. Most importantly, they were available for all inquiries during the entire process.

I had a very costly contamination fee after my in ground oil tank was removed. My insurance company only wanted to pay a small portion. Castleton submitted various reports and spoke to the insurance company agent. They reversed their original finding and paid for everything in full. To me this was a miracle. They worked with me every step of the way. We spoke almost daily concerning this problem. They resolved everything. Best company I have ever dealt with. When it comes to environmental issues they really know their stuff!

They were excellent, from start to finish. My project was to remove a very old underground oil tank. Carmine came to visit the site and provide an estimate. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and and easy to work with. Jennifer from their office followed up with the estimate and was also easy to work with and very flexible on scheduling the work.. And the crew that did the job also were great. Castlton came in at exactly the price they quoted, (which was very reasonable compared to other quotes) did the work when they said they would do it, left my property in great condition, and as far as I am concerned, they are the top choice for this type of project.

Excellent, customer friendly and supportive company from start to finish. From initial contact to completion Castlton staff were on it. They worked within my timeframe, taking snow snow and freezing weather in stride. They dealt with the town and state, coordinated all and provided details and reports/certifications as soon as they received. Bill, Jennifer and the crew were pleasant and respectful of my property. Any phone call or email was promptly answered, which in my opinion is not common. This company knows what they are doing and does it well. I highly recommend them.

The entire team at Castlton handled my oil tank removal with professionalism and made a scary, unknown process....painless. These guys are the best in the business and this was my 2nd time dealing with them, (my gf hired them for a tank removal 2 years before I did...also a fantastic job). I heard horror stories about other companies and removing oil tanks so I was scared when it came time to remove mine. They got all necessary permits and explained the process.
