Window Treatment Service
One of my cellular shades in my bedroom needed to be repaired. Most of the local shade companies in my area (Boston) either don't repair shades that hadn't been purchased at their showroom or charge huge amounts for the repair. One of my friends recommended I ship my broken shade to Blinds Unlimited in Nanuet, NY, for repair. My experience with Blinds Unlimited was great:
I emailed the company to find out if they could repair my broken cellular shade. They said "yes, of course" and quoted me a price of $55 for restringing the shade and $20 for replacing the locking mechanism which was also broken. I wrapped the shade with lots of bubble wrap and dropped it off at the post office on a Wednesday to ship it to Blinds Unlimited. It only cost $7 to ship it via UPS Priority Mail. By mid-day Friday, I had already received a call from Blinds Unlimited to let me know that my shade had safely arrived at their shop and to confirm the diagnosis of what needed to be repaired. I provided them with my credit card number over the phone to pay for the repair ($55+$20) plus the cost of having the repaired shade shipped back to me. They repaired my shade within 48 hours, as promised, and I had my repaired shade back in my home by Wednesday of the following week -- exactly 7 days after I had dropped it off at the post office.
I highly recommend Blinds Unlimited for repairs of broken blinds and shades. I have used them twice and have been very satisfied with their services each time.
