Showed up on time. Replaced some pulleys and both cables. Found out later that he charged my aunt over EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS for the job. Completely outrageous! When I called to complain about this obviously excessive pricing, he copped an attitude and insisted that he's "the best." And when confronted with data from Angie's List indicating that this repair SHOULD have cost HALF of what he charged, his arrogant response was, "I don't care about Angie's List...the people listed there are all hacks." Oh, really. Well, he SHOULD care, because that's who he's competing against! Total ripoff. Will never use him again.

First of all he came in with an attitude, criticized the type door I had and told me I should not have bought the house with this type of door.  Then he told me the repair would be about $200.00 and I told him it was way to much. He then said I would have to pay for the service call anyway which I was not aware of . I just wanted an estimate.    I called the company and the woman confirmed this and she was very nasty as well.  I was not told this up front and the service call was about $100.00 so I decided to let him do the repair.  He did a Band-Aid job,not even replacing any parts.  Then he tried to sell me new rollers and I told him no.  This weekend the bracket ripped off the door again. I want on Angies list and found a wonderful company which fixed the door properly and added a steel part to support the bracket.  I would never recommend this company to anyone. The bill said Garage Door Services in Nanuet so they must do business under that name.

"Mrs L,. So sorry you had this experience with some other company other than our own who is clueless in repairing garage doors. The company you called is not us as I am the only one who answers the phone and I am male. No female secretary here Mrs L. Plenty of individuals going around New York and New Jersey who are not licensed or insured and have not a clue of what they are doing. I totally agree that $214 is much spent when the repair failed and failed so quickly although $214 is about as low as it gets for (any repair done on your home). Mrs L,... Show your legitimacy with Angie' List and invoice as you placed a somewhat negative review against this company but then again let Angies List know whom they sought as a reputable company. That Is The Real Big Question. For anyone reading this, consult with the Consumer Affairs Division for License Lookup before hiring a Garage Door Business to your home and any invitation of that entity to your home to assume any repair.
