I found Bob O'Brien on the Heating Help Forum. I was researching information for my furnace conversion from oil to gas. Bob's comments on the forum were expert and helpful. I had 5 heating specialists come in and size up the job and give me proposals. I found Bob to be one of the most knowledgeable and helpful at explaining the technical information that I did not fully understand. His price was not the best but it was very competitive. His crew arrived on time and completed the job within the time frame we had discussed. They were very professional , knowledgeable and friendly. They removed my old oil burner and oil tank expeditiously and installed a Buderas gas furnace with Logamatic Controls and indirect water tank. They're work looks neat, clean and I am very happy with their professionalism. Bob guarantees his work for 1 year from installation. I have already recommended him to two of my friends who will be replacing furnaces in the next year. I highly recommend him!

Arrived home in the evening to find that the outside A/C condenser was not working.  Called Technical Heating @ 8pm and left a message, expecting no return call till the morning.   Bob called back within 15 mins and set up an appointment for the following day. He would have come out at night, but there is no exterior light where the unit is located.

Bob arrived 8am sharp, soon diagnosed a dead motor.  A non standard replacement was needed, so the repair took a little longer while he sourced the part - but the job was well done with no fuss.

Definitely my 1st call the next time I have A/C issues.

I found this company through Angie's List. They only had a handful of reviews but the reviews were positive so I decided to give them a call. I was looking for a company that installs Triangle Tube wall hung boilers to replace my 2001 New Yorker oil boiler, which has given me nothing but problems since I first bought my house 3 and 1/2 years ago. When Bob came to my house to survey and give me a quote, I hit him with all the questions I've asked the 4 or 5 previous installers over the last year or so. And I liked everything I heard. Some of the other contractors only wanted to install Weil Mclain mod con boilers, which I didn't want. Some didn't want to use the chimney as a chase for the vent pipe. They said it would be OK to vent out of the side of my house (Even so, I didn't want any grief from my neighbor so I wanted to vent throught the chimney.) Some took too long to even come out and look at my house. (I guess they weren't that hungry for my business.) I've done a lot of research on boilers and the other contractors/plumbing companies did not impress me. All of them said it would be my responsibility to remove the oil tank after the install. Bob's team removed the oil tank themselves after the install. By the way, I ended up installing a Viessmann 100-W boiler instead of the Triangle Tube Prestige 110 after discussing it with Bob and doing some more research. The TT will lose it's programming if you have an extended power outage; and there have been a few of them since moving here. The Viessmann 100-W won't.The bottom line is that the Technical Heating crew did an excellent job. They installed a new wall hung boiler and removed the old oil boiler on one Saturday. The following Saturday they removed the oil tank. Fresh intake air is coming from the outside through the sidewall, and the vent pipe is using the chimney as a chase. They also installed a 50 gallon Triangle tube indirect water heater. They tested all the radiators after the install, and the water heater. They double checked everything. The total was exactly $10,000. All the other guys wanted at least 10K also. I'm not rich so the price was like a gut punch. But after all the research, BS from other installers, and constant fumes from my piece of junk oil boiler, I had to bite the bullet and spend the cash. I have to say that it's the best money I've ever spent. I highly recommend Technical Heating Co and the folks I dealt with (Bob, Ron, and Ray). They are extremely professional and do great work.

excellent - I called last-minute to have my oil heater fixed and Technical Heating was here in less than 10 minutes. Bob worked efficiently and absolutely knew what he was talking about. i would recommend this company to anyone.

They did an excellent job. Their professionalism was very good. I didn't have any trouble scheduling them. We put the work off for a while, but once I got him to come out for the quote, the work went pretty quickly. The quality of his work was very good.

Bob and his 3 man crew came on the appointed day with the pre-built heating system. This pre-built panel had all the valves, pipes, and electronics secured on this approx 6'x5' board asembled at his workshop. It is like a piece of art! Very neat and orderly. After removing the old burner and cutting the oil tank in half for removal, they cleaned-up the oily residue. The panel was secured to the wall and the rquired PVC venting was installed thru the existing chimney. Not an easy task. The highly efficient, and VERY quiet boiler was installed vertically on the wall panel with the water tank next to it on the floor. A very nice clean looking package. And White! The job took from 8am till 4pm. As planned. Turn-key operation.His web site has pictures of before and after shots of his systems like no other competitors. Bob answered all of my e-mails before I decided on his company, even on Sundays.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR QUALITY OF WORK. I HAVE BEEN USING THIS COMPANY FOR QUITE A WILE. THEY CAME OUT VERY QUICKLY, AS THEY ALWAYS DO, TO TAKE CARE OF THIS LAST PROBLEM.
