I paid them $50,000 for work that they

had people off the street do.  My house looked better during the storm than after they were done with it.  They gave me no list of what they threw away so I could claim it---they told me to go look through the bags in the yard.  They got paint on my wooden floors, got paid to put in new doors but never did, got paint on my leather furniture.  Their painting job looks like my 3 yr old Grandson did it.   BEWARE____Servpro's main office does NOT back their franchises mistakes or garauntee their work.  I would love to sue

They worked mostly half days for about a week -moved contents, set up dehumidifiers and blowers, removed flooring and started on walls - then they stopped work - told me there was too much mold and they weren't allowed to work on it (one wall had a section about 2' x 6' with mold). They sealed off the room with a piece of plastic (charged $45 for that). I complained that the work wasn't complete and they said the bill 'to date' was over $10K and said it would be another $2500 to finish. This was after I was told by one of the guys the day before that I was up to the estimate of 8K and I was never notified that they were over the estimate. They cut into my heat lines and I didn't have hot water for 5 days. They billed me for a 'heat technician' who charged $250 to put putty on the line (and it still leaked). They billed me $400 to remove 3 small kitchen cabinets and then tried to charge more for a carpenter. They did bill $130 to remove a dart board, 4 small speakers and a curtain rod. After I complained they sent in their people to take pictures, measure everything again, and remove equipment. I was told the walls that they didn't touch were within their specs for moisture so they don't need to be opened up. No spray, no preventative, nothing. I was asked to sign papers releaving them of all responsiblity which I refused to sign. Communication overall was bad - I had to pass messages through a secretary to the 'technicians' working on the project. I tried contacting the owner who kept having the people working for her call me instead. I ended up paying them over $10K and had to hire someone else to finish. I have never had an experience this bad with a company and would stongly advise against using them. Note that Servpro is a franchise and this one is also listed under other locations in the area.
