BEWARE of this guy! Hired him because he was recommended by another
contractor and he was about 10 - 15% less than everyone else.. Bought
$12K worth of materials for the job and then gave him 1/3 down to
start. Didn't see him for a month. He started the job, quit for the
winter. He tried to Subcontract the job over the winter without even
telling us! Started again in the spring only to walk off the job! Does
NOT have insurance. Does NOT have trained/experience help. Does have a
never ending supply of BS and excuses. I look back and realize it
could have cost me EVERYTHING if one of his flunkys got hurt on the
job. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN! Ended up having to hire someone else to finish the job and fix Reece's mistakes. Should have hired them in the first place. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from Reece and Sons

I hired this guy to put a metal roof on my barn - BIG project! His quote was good - about 10% less than the rest. I paid for the materials upfront ($13K), paid 1/3 of his quote for labor. Once the materials showed up, he took another job and I waited for a month for him to start. He started, took a large parts of the old roof off and disappeared for weeks at a time, leaving everything exposed to the elements.
He shut down for winter (w/. roof exposed) and stored his crap in my barn, took other jobs in the spring (roof still exposed), finally got back to work. I came home after 3 days and everything was gone! He quit and didn't bother to tell anyone! Just left (roof still exposed)!
Does fairly lousy work. Hires untrained kids that he has on the roofs unsupervised and not tied off. He has trouble keeping them, so you're always getting a new group of untrained workers. He's rarely at the job site, so you end up having to watch his crew and point out what needs to be done. I never got an insurance binder, so I'm not sure if he has Insurance. .
Now I've got part of a roof done, part still exposed, a small fortune invested in supplies and no warrentee on the stuff already done. Legal options are limited, so I'm stuck
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT fall for the cheaper quote and line of BS! I did and I'll be paying the price for quite a while.
