Outeast Painting & Power Washing

Steve promised to remedy the deteriorating paint condition from his previous work. He promised to do the work starting in May. Many phone calls and emails resulted only in excuses but Steve never showed up to do the work. Today after many promises to appear at 7 AM we arose early and he did not appear. We have been trying to get Steve to return for approximately four months. In 25 years in the Hamptons we have never encountered such an reliability. After the first paint job there was damage to light fixtures which took several months for Steve to reimburse us.

The job was quoted at a very fair price by Steve, the contractor, he showed up on time with an able crew and over the next few weeks the job was completed basically on schedule. As I reside in the city and was unable to be there for most of the work, I relied on Steve to communicate and keep me current on progress. He was responsive, sent me photos, fielded requests for additions and corrections with patience. The work was completed in a reasonable time and at reasonable cost. I was very content with the finished job. Highly recommended.

When the Outeast representative came to my home for the estimate I originally wanted a fast, cheap clean up job all white and then in then in the next few years we were going to re-do the home room by room.  The gentlemen explained to me the benefits of doing a quality job now and also offered a guarantee on the work.  He also helped me with the color selections, I am not from the Hamptons but I wanted to stay in the realm of decor as my neighbors rather than being an outcast.  I was Sold!  As we were walking around I was mentioning how the cabins and vanities are so outdated in the house but I cannot afford to get new ones yet, he whipped out his iPad and brought up a lit of photos of kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities that Outeast refinished, showing me before and afters....  All together the Painting of the whole house and every repair including custom colors and accent walls was under $15,000 and to re do my kitchen cabinets and all bathroom vanities was $20,000....  I had a price for new kitchen cabinets at $70,000...
When the job was complete I have to say Ive never been happier, and my cabinets are not being replaced now for many many years...  Thank you Outeast!!

We have used Outeast previously to do the exterior of our summer home.  We had just recently called them back because they offered a discounted rate for Interior work through the winter.  We have a lot of loose spackle tape, nails popping through the walls and damages all over from settling I'm assuming.  They came in took pictures of the way the entire house was set up, sent them to us to confirm, moved all the furniture and covered it well, did there repairs and re-painted then entire house in just 2 weeks.  We just got back here yesterday and It looks like they were never here thanks to the cleanliness detail they provided but my home is freshly painted and I could not be happier.  Only issue I had was I wish they would have done the exterior of the front door to freshen it up, I thought it was included.  Steve informed me that it was not included, but he set a reminder in his calendar and said he would stop back in April to do it free of charge when the weather warms up.

My Decorators have a reputation for being the best in the hamptons, thats why we hired them.  Originally we were going to hire them for there decorating and use our own contractors to complete the job.  from the very get go that did not work out. Our Decorators at mabley handler Interior Decorating are so particular to even the highest details the relationship between them and our contractors was not working out.  When it was time for the painting they required certain finishes in certain areas, samples and even re-finishing all of my cabinetry which my normal painting contractor does not do.  THIS WAS NOT CHEAP, but IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!  The cabinets look better then they would if they were brand new, the trim is so smooth its hard not to touch and the amount of repairs in the sheetrock that they completed was simply amazing.  My house looks so good, I was never one to host occasions, this past year I've hosted every occasion I can't help it I love my house and I have definitely found my new painting contractor.  Outeast is Highly recommended by Me!!!!

My house is small but every year the paint seems to peel.   Ive had the same contractor repainting it for years but the problem never goes away and it was costing me $5,000 a year to do this.  This past year I decided to try another contractor to see if the contractor was the problem.  It Was!  Outeast came in and gave me quote nearly double the previous contractor, they explained its because several coats have been applied over and over year after year that actually makes it harder to repair.  They sent me the paper work and i was not going to put that much Money into.  Then they guarantee no peeling for 5 years.  Then was a no brainer.  The onwner was also honest, he told me that if we have a brutal winter come spring time there may be a little peeling spots or bubbles here and there but in now way will it be nearly as bad as was when he began.  He also said the guarantee covers the peeling so if it does peel in a few areas they will fix it at my convenience.  He said this is only due to the multiple coats of paint.  Its been 7 months and still no peeling.

My house was in bad condition.  A lot of peeling paint, rotted wood, etc. and I live in a beautiful neighborhood in Watermill so I was like the "black sheep" of the neighborhood.  This year I decided I was not going to let the house go through the winter in this condition because come spring time It will probably be too late.  I called outeast, they talked a good game but honestly I've heard it before and had the house peel within a year last time I did this 5 years ago.  He sent me his estimate with a pretty high price but the process they were going to take was far more extreme then anyone has done before.  Still wasn't sold.  What sold me was without even requesting it Steve, the owner sent me a 5-year guarantee document for any peeling of the house.  Now I'm sold.
They came in and power washed and replaced all the rotted wood, scraped, machine sanded the entire house, then used a primer called MAD DOG primer that suppose to act like a glue, then went over it with an oil based primer he said to seal everything in, then used a fuller for the really nasty areas and applied 2 coats of finish to the entire house in just 7 days with about 10 guys per day.  I could not be happier and its only been a few months but the house has never looked this good, if I can attach pictures to this review I will.

This home in Bridgehampton is my first purchased home so I have been very skeptical through the entire process.  I received 6 quotes for the Interior Painting.  Outeast won me with the detailed, professional paper work.  After receiving the quote the very next day I did not even have any questions to ask they were all answered.  They also were awarded the job because they guaranteed a top quality paint job including spray finishing all of my moldings and painting walls with numerous colors throughout the home and that they would be complete prior to memorial day for our season opening party.  I thought that was impossible.  Steve said we would receive 10% off the total price and signed a document stating this fact if he did not reach his deadline.  He reached it and we could not be happier.  They also Power washed the Exterior and Painted all of the trim on the house as well this past fall.

I have done a ton of work to my house in the past 5 years and Steve and his crew at Outeast painting is by far the best. I highly recommend them and will be using them in the future for interior needs as well. They were extremely professional and did not harm any of my landscape or patio which is very important. At final walkthrough Steve noticed some spots that needed retouching and would not leave until the job was completed to my satisfaction. the attention to detail from the crew was fantastic!

Awesome.  He squeezed me in and finished the home when he said.  The home looks great and the fresh cedar look has attracted a lot of attention.  The trim paint and repairs were also done well.  This is the third time I've worked with Steve and his crew and its been a good experience.  The only thing I wish was that the washing chemicals could have been milder as they burned the lawn and some plants.  He explained that this is typical and hard to control.  However, I'm curious if there are milder solutions out there.

Couldn't ask for more from a painter.  On time, very neat and careful with my belongings.  Paint job made it look like a new house inside and my teak furniture looks like it was just bought.  No headaches, very happy.

They were highly recommended to us by a friend.  Steve and Eben were professional and easy to work with from the onset.  During the estimate they walked the house with an iPad, taking pictures and noting the specifics of what we were looking for.  They were more than happy to guide us in the right color choice and even stained a dozen sample shingles to show us how our options would appear on the shingle itself.  

My husband and I were away for the duration the work.  We were stunned when we returned.  The yard showed no sign that they were even there and our home looked flawless!  They carefully removed and re-installed our copper gutters, which was a big concern for us.  As we inspected the job, we noticed that they took the initiative to repair and paint items that were not even included, such as our portico and shutter hooks.  

Overall our expectations were exceeded and we plan on having them back to redo the interior of our home in the fall. Outstanding job and service!

I met with Steve on a Sunday to discuss the project, give him a key so he begin work and finalize all color selections.  My house is lost 6,000 square feet and there was a lot of prep work needed.  Steve sent me pictures throughout the week to allow me to see the progress as it took place, but to my amazement the entire job was done by the following saturday when we returned out there.  The home was cleaner then we had left it with a flawless paint job.  Mabley handler Interior design is very particular with their paint work and they couldn’t have been happier either.  Thank you Outeast!!!  We will use them for the exterior of our home next year.
