Bob and his crew were great. I have already decided to hire them again to do my bedrooms. When he did the first job he did my living room and stairs with wood... i also provided tiles and vinyl and his crew did the tiles and vinyl in the kitchen/dining room and did the slate tile work in the downstairs hall off the garage. They did an excellent job. I highly recommend them

Wood on wheels installed my Bamboo flooring in 2015. We recently removed a partition wall and need the flooring pieced in. On bobby's recommendation he removed all of the living room and hallway flooring, tied in new flooring and reused/reinstalled most of the old. He also replaced the saddle under my front door. Bobby is a true professional, a perfectionist. His worker was polite and friendly. I highly recommend him

Fantastic. Bob's an artist. The amount of work they had to perform was phenomenal -- many surfaces were extremely uneven, some floors had been painted and needed to be stripped, and many of the old pine planks were loose, warped, and splintery. Some of the wood was modern, some was recycled barn wood, and some of it may have dated to the 19th century. Bob recommended a treatment that would unify the floors across the house, and the end result was beautiful: warm, glowing wood in every room. We are thrilled with the way it looks. And from a business standpoint, they were a pleasure to work with -- timely appointments, great communication, quick work, knowledgeable advice, and fair pricing. I highly recommend these guys.

We interviewed five companies before we hired Bob Finch at Wood on Wheels to refinish the maple floors in our house. From the first interview, Bob was by far the most thorough, knowledgeable, and professional contractor we met. We were living on a different floor of the house with three dogs during the entire job, but Bob and his staff never disrupted our lives and worked quickly and as quietly as possible, finishing ahead of schedule. They left our house immaculate, with none of the dusty mess we expected. Most important, the floors are spectacular! In addition, Wood on Wheels is the only company we found that specializes in the latest water-based products that are safer and more durable than traditional polyurethanes.

Wood on Wheels not only did a phenomenal job on our floors, they looked amazing. They were just such a pleasure to work with, responsive and kept us up to date on progress (as we were not at the house).

Bob Finch was very easy to communicate with, and he and his office staff always got back to us regarding any of our questions that we had before the actual install within a short-time frame. Other businesses should learn from them! Very pleased with the A+ quality job from start to finish with our Oak prefinished floors!

Wood on Wheels provided excellent service with great value.  We have used them on several occasions, and plan to have them refinish the floors for a house we are purchasing.   The team is responsive and professional, and they do a great job!

So extremely professional, kind and very friendly. Went above and beyond in regards to the work. The installation took about 4 days which was really great as they had to move all the furniture, rip up all the carpet, take off all the baseboards and reinstall, and put furniture protectors on everything. He also picked up the laminate for me from poughkeepsie when I live in Kingston. They even took out a huge free standing closet/cabinet, broke it down and got rid of it. They also cleaned up after each day's work and left the house in perfect shape. I had them refinish the stair railing to match the new laminate which they did a fantastic job. I wish they did other kinds of work as I would hire them to do everything and anything I needed done. they were also the cheapest installers around. I contacted approx 20 installers including lowes and Home Depot. Wood on wheels was the least expensive. The others ranged between $3 to $4.50 sq ft. He also tried to fix things that were not his fault like the baseboards being super caulked to the walls. All I can say is that if there was an A+ I would rate them an A+++++ Don't even bother getting other bids, I would recommend hiring this company in a heartbeat.

Wood on Wheels was fantastic! They're price was very reasonable and the work that was done was incredible. We had some water leak in our basement which damaged about half of the basement laminate wood flooring. They removed the old wood flooring and replaced with new laminate. They were even able to reuse some of the good pieces from the old floor after carefully removing good damaged pieces. This saved us some money by returning unopened boxes. They also installed an oak wood ledge on our basement ledge. This all included removing the trim, replacing the floor, and installing the oak ledge with trim around it. Their work was incredible! I am very pleased with how it all turned out. I would absolutely use Wood on Wheels for any future flooring needs.

Bob Finch and his office staff and crew are highly professional, trustworthy, easy to communicate with and just all around great people.  I cannot say enough about how important their great customer service is on top of excellent quality work.

When we bought our house it was covered in wall to wall carpeting throughout. The first contractor we brought in took up all the carpeting but then didn't want to work on the floors because they were in such bad condition. Bob, at Wood on Wheels, came to our house and relished the opportunity to bring our floors, some hardwood, mostly pine sub-flooring, back to life. They took a week to work on the floors and when we came back we couldn't believe how beautiful they were. They did an amazing job. I couldn't recommend anyone higher.

* Pick up of material was performed as agreed.
* Discussion of layout and options for threshold was done profesionally.
* Arrival on installation date and time was exactly on schedule.
* Selection of material for installation layout was done with care and great visual appeal
* Securing subfloor and installation of plywood over base subfloor was done with care to insure seams were appropriate.
* Installation of flooring was done with care to mix and match grain and color.
* Joints were kept tight and consistent along straight lines.
* Thresholds were cut to match existing tile floor
* Fireplace hearth outline was done with care and integrated into floor layout.
* Floor cutouts for wood grates were done with care and grates were installed to level with the floor.
* When one of the thresholds had a bit of a squeak after installation, Bobby returned in a timely manner and corrected the threshold with no charge and no issues.
* Overall -- a great experience and would definitly contract with them again and recommend them.

This project was done in a courteous, professional manner.  The workers were polite, clean and fast.  We are thrilled with the results.  I highly recommend Wood on Wheels.
