Healy Movers Inc

I used Healy Movers for a very large 2 part move - one from NY - NJ and the 2nd part was NY to Florida in 2023 with great success. I spent over $17,000 and was satisfied. I contacted Declan to move me from a rental home to apartment - Harrington Park - Clifton NJ. I gave them 3 month's notice, then had them visit the house 1 month before to provide me with an estimate. We set a date, agreed on the price, and they committed to do the job. I contacted them via phone and text 10 days before the date to confirm - they did not respond. I figured they may be traveling, so I contacted them again 7 days, then 6, then 5 days before the move again by phone and text. NOTHING. I WAS GHOSTED. I WAS LEFT WITHOUT A MOVER. So much for "Customer care and loyalty!" I still haven't heard from them. Thankfully, at the last minute, I was able to contract with SANTIAGO movers - Guy and Maria listed in Valley COttage. THEY WERE STUPENDOUS. Not only better than Healy, but $250 less than the quote I received.

Healy Movers were great! The price was good, they showed up on time, they did what they promised and nothing was broken or lost. Dechlan, James and Jesse were courteous and professional. They positioned the furniture for me and even put some of my things in a separate storage seen area. I am completely satisfied with the job Healy did!

He showed up with his truck. It took him 2 days to load up the truck. He did not use any blankets to cover the furniture. I had fairly new things. Nearly all of my furniture was nicked or scratched. At the end of the two days, he could not fit all of our belongings on the truck. He was storing the truck for a week until we moved. He drove it down to Nashville. He was supposed to come down the following week the the remainder of the things that could not fit and he never showed up. He did show up about a month later around midnight on a Saturday night with just a few things and a few things that he brought to us that were not even ours. He set up somebody else's bed in my house.

Although they were very kind and hard working, the amount of damage done to our furniture was extensive. Most of our furniture ended up with scratches. We had a tv armoire that was broken in the move. We were assured it would be fixed and we wouldn't be able to notice it was damaged. It was fixed but you can certainly see all the damage that was done to it. You can see where the leg broke off and all the brush strokes of the paint used to paint over it. It doesn't look like a professional fixed it at all. Also, our chiminea was lost in the move/storage.

This is the second time I used them. The first time was around November of 2010 when I first bought this house and needed to move my things out of a temporary rental that happened to be right down the street. They quoted the price over the phone since it was a by- the- hour move with a 4 hour minimum. And they did their best to keep it under the 4 hours! And we did! I appreciated their kindness, their professionalism and the care they took to make sure my items were carefully handled. Nothing broke and nothing went missing. I was very grateful to find someone who took care of me. This was after I had dealt with the mover from H*** back in August when I sold my other home. That mover was out of Cornwall or Windsor, N.Y. by the name of Bekins. Yes, that Bekins.. Thankfully, Decklan (the owner of Healy) was 100% better. I would use  Healy any time. And recommend them to any one! They were also the lowest rate I found after calling around.

There was only one price for moving, storage, and delivering the furniture when we are ready. They came to our home, surveyed our cartons, asked how many valuables we had, asked several insurance questions, and were very precise. We had other estimates, but he was the most thorough. He gave us a price right then and there. The buyer of our property wants a walk through, but we are not vacated yet. Mr. Healy said he would come in and pick up all of the cartons so that all that is left is the furniture so the buyer can get a feel for the space. I call that real professionalism!
