The job was done as prescribed with professionalism, knowledge, and respect for the property and its owners. When we wanted to add something to the job, Anthony Volpe gave us a fair price on the additional work. A neighbor recommended this company to me because they were satisfied with the service and, while the crew was working here, another neighbor showed interest in hiring them because they worked so diligently, efficiently, and carefully. The job was done in less than 4 days (about the amount of time predicted) despite a minor "surprise" underground, and everything was returned to a clean and neat state. We are hiring this company again to do some more work on our property. I highly recommend them.

Anthony is very professional and knowledgeable. During the consultation he answered all of my questions and came up with an affordable plan - to dig down to the footing drains and use a camera to see what's going on inside the pipes and install an new pipe leading away from the house.  His guess was that there was something wrong with the pipe leading from the house.  (The town nor the builder have any idea where this pipe daylights) Once started, he quickly found the problem and he was right: the pipe running away from the house was crushed by the heavy, wet soil because it was not surrounded by gravel.  Due to a grading issue (the best place to daylight this pipe was on my neighbor's property), Anthony came up with an alternative plan that incorporated the down spouts and an external sump pump into the solution.  He worked diligently and although he did ALOT of digging, if it weren't for the hay, you would never know he was there.  I still have to get an electrician to properly hook up the sump pump but I'm ok with that. 

Prior to meeting with Anthony, I had quotes from $10,000 to $16,000 to fix my wet basement problem and another 6 people that never gave me a quote.  No one really listened to my thoughts on what the problem was and just wanted to sell a service.  Now, I am no longer worried when rain is in the weather forecast :)  Thank you, Anthony and your team at Greenwood Excavating!!

It was a pleasure to deal with the owner, Anthony Volpe.  He was prompt on the first appointment and was the only one of several contractors I had come out to recognize that, over the years, the height of the top of our driveway may have contributed to water accumulating in that area.  His solution was very straightforward and priced right.  On service day he arrived on time and completed the project as estimated.  His crew was friendly and worked hard to complete the project.  After all was done he and his crew cleaned up the site and left it in excellent shape.  I would recommend Greenwood Excavating to anyone looking for this type of project.

They were just incredible. Their attention to detail and punctuality was great. They were unbeliably clean; by the time they finished we couldn't tell they were there.
