I had this company out to my home last year for emergency service and they were very helpful. When the furnace again went on the fritz we had them back and the owner Steve had to come diagnose the problem and he was able to this was in April. Unfortunately Steve forgot to take my heating systems information to get the part, I do not live in this home so I had to have a neighbor get it which was no problem. I than spent a months calling Steve weekly to see if he found the part each time we spoke he assured me that he would call me that next week and let me know if he had been able to find the parts. this continued for about a month at which point in time he told me he was not able to find the parts and I would need a whole new heating system. this again was not too much of a shock the heating system is much older so I asked Steve to get me some pricing I’m putting in a new system and I would call him on one of my trips up to let him know I would be there so he could come and take the measurements he said he would need. I spoke with Steve and let him know a week in advance when I would be at my home and went up a day earlier so that he would be able to have two working days to come and take just his measurements. The first day he did not show up although he told me that he would the next day I called in the morning to make sure he was still coming and his receptionist assured me he would be coming as soon as he took care of the emergency in Albany he did not come that day nor did I get a courtesy phone for letting me know that he would not be coming. Upon returning home I called Steve to find out if this is how he runs his business and he apologized at that point I asked him to tell me the names of the parts that that had broken but again asked him to please get me some pricing for the new system because I wanted to have it installed sooner than later at which point Steve informed me that it was the wrong season to put a new heating system. when I asked him why he simply said he was too busy - I explained again that I do not live in the house full-time and this is something I really wanted to have taken care of and again he said he would call me. After calling Steve for over six months I still do not know what part on my heating system is broken nor have I ever gotten an estimate and when I asked him again in our last phone conversation if he wanted the job he said yes but then sa after calling Steve for over six months I still do not know what part on my heating system is broken nor have I ever gotten an estimate and when I asked him again and our last phone conversation when I again asked him how he ran a business in this fashion he said I don’t know I guess so ! I’m truly disappointed because this was a company that I had initially trusted because of their good service in the case of an emergency but unfortunately if you’re looking for someone to actually follow through I don’t think this is going to be the company you want to use.

Neil arrived on time and within minutes diagnosed the problem and replaced the part, He was very professional and fixed the problem within 15 minutes. Great firm to do business with

The original propane powered boiler (from 1982) finally gave out in the middle of a particularly cold spell. Silverman was incredibly responsive, talked me through different options and different price and efficiency levels and helped me decide on a unit that fit our needs. They got it installed within a matter of days, prior to another near zero degrees period, so no pipes burst. The workspace was left in a cleaner condition than they found it in. They were a pleasure to work with.

Technician came within 1. 5 of my call. He discovered that there was a handy wipe in the main line which was removed and the drain fully operational.

Our existing water heater developed a slow leak, so this was not an emergency. I got some names from Angie's List and some from the yellow pages. Silverman had the most responsive phone service; their representative gave me a firm installation price immediately, and after checking other providers, theirs was the lowest price. They were very helpful about the concerns I had over how the new unit would fit in the existing space, and came within two days. They also provided a drip pan because there is no floor drain in the basement. The technician was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. He made sure all the carpets were covered before moving the old unit out and cleaned everything up before he left. I thought perhaps it would cost more than what was quoted because he had to do more work extending the wiring to reach the new connection, but the final price was the quoted price.

The gentleman found the leak in the wall, he had to cut open the wall, replace the pipe, and cleaned up the area very well. You can't even see where he cut open the wall. No marks at all. He was very good, prompt and polite!! I've dealt with this company for years. My boss had a complete renovation done on his dental office, and he had this company redo all of the plumbing. It was alot to do and the did it very well!!

The plumber sent, Neil, was professional with over 25 years experience with flushometers (which are not rare but usually not in homes). He was prompt, low-key and immediately diagnosed the problem. He fixed the leaks which involved Sloan parts that he had in stock and ordered a pressure reducing valve to enable us to send appropriate pressure to the misbehaving toilet. Now, every toilet flushes as it should and the leaks, which sent my wife into tirades, are repaired. I would use Silverman again in a heartbeat.
I have not been billed yet; they are notoriously slow in billing. I'll amend this when I receive the bill but, frankly, after years of frustration, whatever they charge will be small change.

175our house was completely clogged, no draining, my husband put a 50' snake, nothing happened. There guys came on short notice, 5:30 PM, calling in the afternoon. I was so happy to see them.

He stopped the water from flooding further. Told us the issue and what to do in order to fix the problem.

They came within an hour of my phone call. The man was very professional and helpful. He had to go out to buy a part once he knew what the problem was, yet he still completed the repair in less than two hours. It was wonderful. I wouldn't call anyone else in the future.
