Extremely well. Alan is experienced, competent, and accomodating. He came at the last minute - we were strapped for time and needed to move those outlets before our new backsplash could be installed. Reasonable and Fair pricing.

In a short period of time Alan pinpointed the problem with a loose wire on a GFI CI Receptacle and secured it. He determined that a second GFI breaker had become defective and replaced it. The tripping problems ceased. In the course of his work, Alan showed a true passion for getting things done right and paying attention to details when problem solving. He was very easy to interact with.

That was very good. He actually came the next day, which was great, not that we needed it in place right away, because we had our old one, but that was really good for us. This is my first electrical issue, so I think the price was fine. I was not upset at all. He came when he told me he would. He actually, I'm waiting on him to give me an estimate. This is someone I believe in again.

The electrician and his young son, the helper, arrived on time on Saturday of a holiday weekend to replace a light switch. When I had previously turned it on I heard a buzzing sound so I was concerned that it may be a fire hazard. The job was done efficiently and neatly. We even asked for help with fluorescent lighting in another area in the house. This job was tackled with good humor and efficiently as well.

Mr Nicol showed up when promised and completed the job. He was reasonably priced and professional. Would recommend him and hire him again.

Superb! He is fast, efficient, thorough - and a straight-shooter. I had to leave during the repair and he followed all my requests perfectly. Really appreciate the quality of his work and ability to figure out what was wrong - on issues that other contractors had quoted a flat rate to figure out and repair - which would have been way more expensive.

Alan came the morning after I called him.  He quickly found the problem and repaired it.  He showed me what he was doing every step of the way so that I could do it myself if the problem happened again.  He charged his minimum of $100, which I considered fair because he had to come from some miles away.


In addition, he's a nice guy who has his customers' interests in mind.

I couldn't be happier with Alan's professionalism and quality of service.  Starting from his very first visit to provide an estimate to the completion of the project, Alan was consistently friendly, honest, efficient, prompt and just really good to work with.  Also, being new to home renovation projects, we had many questions (both related and unrelated to the project) and Alan was very helpful in providing practical advice and guidance.  We feel very fortunate to have found Alan and would definitely like to work with him on future electrical projects that we may have.

Alan was incredibly flexible with his schedule which is really helpful for people who work full time! He arrived promptly and even looked at some other wiring in our 250 year old house. The job was quickly and neatly finished. Would recommend him to friends and family.

I contacted Alan primarily because I wanted to have a legitimate generator setup in my home as opposed to the pre-existing back fed set up that I inherited when I purchased the house. I had an idea of what I wanted to do and what I really appreciated about Alan was the fact that he explored all options with me and searched for the most cost-effective one right from the start. He then drew up an estimate and when I wanted to make adjustments to the job he didn't make an issue of it.
Alan's work exceeded my expectations. My home is almost 100 years old and Alan came up with the least invasive solutions for getting the job done. He built and installed a separate electrical panel (not just a transfer switch) that allows for the entire home to be on generator power and not just a few select breakers. He is a knowledgeable and reasonable electrician that I would highly recommend.

Alan was great!  Not only did he help us out with our issue, he had a few other helpful suggestions and ideas for us.  He came out on a Saturday, worked quickly and informed us of everything he was doing.  We will definitely contact him again for future needs.

I highly recommend Alan for your electrical needs. He helped me install connection for a generator and ran a line for new outlet in the basement.
All the work he performed was of the highest quality and reasonably priced. He walked me through operating my generator and connecting it, and gave me tons of excellent advice.

I was having issues with flickering lights and light switch issues. We spoke on the phone and I explained my situation. I'm sure that it sounded like a simple fix, and although I know it sounded that way, knew it would be more than that. He told me he'd be there the next day. When he arrived, he got straight to work. I showed him my issues and we started from there. After figuring out what the issue was with the switches, we moved onto the flickering lights. He thought it had to be a loose wire somewhere. He literally went through the entire house and looked in every outlet and switch to see if he could find the loose wire. After he didn't find anything, he went to the circuit breaker in my house to check for loose wires. When that also came up with nothing, we went outside to check the main breaker. I appreciated that he literally went above and beyond to help me find my issue. He told me that he thinks he found the issue and that I needed to find a part. I got it, called him on Thurs evening and he was back out on Friday to install for me. Apparently, though, that was only a minor issue that was masking the larger issue which has to do with my meter. But, I believe that he certainly did his job and then some. He clearly cares about the quality of work and service he provides and it shows. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.
